I’m Just Sayin #184 Setting Our Dragon Free or Summoning Our Dragon?

Setting Our Dragon Free or Summoning Our Dragon

Initially I thought the topic of reflection today was to share my stream of consciousness on “Setting Our Dragons Free” thinking of this word Dragon, as something defined in our English culture as being formidable or dangerous.  Something in a figurative sense that haunts us as it carries things that plague us and cause us to be uncomfortable in our life.  Like a dark shadow that follows us around to keep us enslaved to things we allow to entrap us into misery that we don’t deserve.  I know from time to time we all fall into this space of feeling negative or remorseful, but is it the best use of our time and energy?  Does slipping into a state of guilt move us forward in our life?  So I thought this was where I was going with my reflection when all of a sudden the course changed and Spirit took me in another direction.

I was drawn to find out what Dragons symbolize spiritually. It is said that spiritually Dragons symbolize success.  By summoning the power of the Dragon, the Dragon will give us the wisdom we need to be successful in whatever we choose to pursue.  Dragons bring magical gifts.  The energy of the Dragon opens us up to all the possibilities, wisdom and the  ways to cleverly pursue our dreams and aspirations.  The other astounding aspect of what we can receive from the Dragon is the energy of protection.  The feeling of that beautiful and powerful Dragon by our side builds our confidence and makes us feel” indomitable.”

Ok so now where do we find these amazing Dragons to call upon?  Do they even exist? Are thy merely mythical creatures of our imagination? If so they have lived in the minds of humans for thousands of years. The Truth? The power, wisdom, and courage of the Dragon resides within us! The Dragon is a visual symbol to remind us, and for some of us, to enlighten us of what we are capable of. The Dragon will answer our summons when the memory of who we are and what we can do is questioned or challenged. Perhaps that same spiritual Dragon can be used to free us from the shadows that might try to pull us into a distraction of pain and discomfort. There might be a dual benefit to the power of the Dragon that lies within us. Let’s have fun and each of us paint our own Dragon and see how it makes us feel!

If you are wondering why I am enthralled with Dragons, well, during my niece’s last pregnancy, Dragons kept coming to her and her two little boys in dreams.  Needless to say, our beautiful little girl, Aoluna that was birthed in our midst, is strong, vibrant in demeanor, and will definitely reflect the powers of the beautiful dragons that she graced her family with in their dreams! She loves dragons. -Makes you think doesn’t it! How much of what we experience in life has more than one meaning. I have learned to find the truth about things in life because often it is all about perspective.

If you didn’t know-A nice feature I learned about from my niece, who of course was compelled to research Dragons, was that in the Chinese culture, Dragons don’t breathe fire! Dragons breathe clouds! They are austere and luminous as they shine their beautifully radiant colors.  Our Aoluna is definitely lighting up our lives.

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.
