Roses in My English Garden Bring Joy to My Heart

Each and every day we are confronted with events and circumstances in our day that could take us out of our sacred space on a spiritual level, and out of ourselves on an emotional level-as the old people say- “She/He is beside themselves or out of their body. It is a daily experience of trying to move through things and balance things so that we can live in some sense of peace and tranquility.

Our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health is way too important to forfeit it on struggling with unnecessary challenges and things we could never have control over in the first place.  Mommie use to say “we have to pick our battles”, but at this point in my life I have learned that it does not pay or work in our best interest to “battle” anything or anyone!

We are deceiving ourselves or are being delusional to think we really have complete control over anything in our lives.  I think it would behoove us to try to “wear this world like a loose garment”, and not take everything that comes our way as something we must solve or resolve.  We have to begin to make the decision that we are going to “go with the flow”, when we are confronted and overwhelmed with “things that are thrown on our plate”.  We have the inner power to say yes or no!

I see this as a 2-stage process by which we handle the “things” in our life.  The first stage is to “go with the flow”.  In this stage we begin to take a breath when we come up against things that we don’t feel comfortable with or really feel overwhelmed by and instead of being resistant and stressed, we go into our mind set of just “going with the flow” and ease ourselves out of  caring about controlling things or worrying about the outcome.

We “go with the flow” and just stay present in the process.  In doing this we are moving in the right direction. We are beginning to take care of ourselves and show ourselves the patience and compassion we give others.  We have to accept the fact that we are only human and that we have to protect ourselves in doing things and engaging in things that will safeguard our wellbeing and happiness.

The second stage of this process is “Letting go”!  This is when we have finally arrived at the place where we have learned to just allow divine right order to come into play.  This is total liberation!  It takes having faith in the process and confidence in our ability to be steadfast in our commitment to just “Let things go”.  I can’t tell you it is easy to do!  I am still practicing and so many times I try to just let something go and the next thing I know, I am drawn in and I start meddling.  Then I feel badly, and I promise myself that “next time” I won’t interfere! Then I of course, have to start all over again. But that is okay because I know that I don’t have to be perfect! Thank God perfection is not a criterion for being human.

Footnote:  This blog was inspired by my having to “Let go the upset of a lady picking my special rose from out of my garden today that I have been watching and blogging about. I was looking forward to seeing the rose bud open and blossom.  I guess that this is what happens in life.  Sometimes we don’t get to see things unfold. Oh well, I hope its beauty will bring her the same joy it brought me.

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

**Note: These recordings are based on my blog writings, and all of this comes through Spirit.  The recordings are a reflection of the writings and are not edited because I do not want to alter what is coming to me through “Great Spirit”.  I am not seeking perfection, only serving as a vessel to bring love, peace, and joy, to our humanity.

Thank You, Jim Brickman for your beautiful music that vibrates through this recording. This is a selection from his album – “Music to Quiet Your Mind and Sooth Your World”.
