Today’s Reflection #200 I’m Just Sayin #200. Don’t Swallow the Storm-  Take the Helm of Your Ship and Steer it to Calmer Waters. Voiced

My friend Linda sent me this picture- “Texas Sunset with Stormy Skies”!

Well, I had something else to write about today that came to me in the shower this morning and for some reason it left. I guess this is what I am called to share today. It is about experiencing things and people in our life that come in and out like an out-of-control storm. We never seem to be expecting the current of the storm that blows in with a vicious turbulence in our life. It comes with no warning and sometimes we are in a physical and emotional state where we can ward it off or move through it and come out in one piece, and sometimes it takes ahold of us and we are challenged to weather the storm.

It is in those times it can be so over whelming and determined to upset the balance and harmony of our life, that we either get swallowed up by it, or we “Swallow the Storm” and carry the pain and discomfort of the experience. We just can’t do that to ourselves! We deserve better! We must not internalize or normalize these experiences that pass through us as something we are supposed to engulf and absorb. We must be mindful that after the storm we can create our own rainbow. We can turn on our light right in the midst of the storm and dispel the darkness and turbulence that the storm tries to wield at us.

We must know our own power and worth in all the things that transpire in our life. As my Mom use to say, “Sometimes you have to take things and situations like a grain of salt”. Well, we all know that a grain of salt is insignificant, so we must decide if what is coming at us is significant enough to capture our attention and energy. We can’t allow people who we know from their routine behavior of “bringing in the drama”, to constantly rock our boat until the storm capsizes us and we get swallowed up or drown in the depths of the waves that sweep the currents over our life. We don’t need the “drama”.

We don’t thrive on drama! We want to be “drama free”! We are busy being invested in the beauty and good things that are happening in our life. There will always be unavoidable storms that come our way that we will have to attend to, because that’s “Life”. What we don’t want is to take on events, people, and situations, that prevent us from the fulness of our life. We have a birthright to be happy and at peace. We have a birth right to be in harmony with the beauty and richness of our soul’s expression. We don’t have to “Wade in the waters” and loose sight of the blessings we have in our life!

Simply said- “We are too blessed to be stressed”!

Set the intention- “I am not going to let anyone rain on the parade of my life or cast shadows on the light of my soul”!
Ashé!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

**Note: These recordings are based on my blog writings, and all of this comes through Spirit.  The recordings are a reflection of the writings and are not edited because I do not want to alter what is coming to me through “Great Spirit”.  I am not seeking perfection, only serving as a vessel to bring love, peace, and joy, to our humanity.

Thank You, Jim Brickman for your beautiful music that vibrates through this recording. This is a selection from his album – “Music to Quiet Your Mind and Sooth Your World”.

Written explicitly. Let not the trail of the storms define who we should be,but our boldness to survive sprout other beautiful things in life.
