We Must Know from Whence and from Whom We Come-

The Space Between the Two Worlds Where We Can Sit With the Heavenly Elders.

We Must Know From Whence and From Whom We Come,

in Order to Know Where and Who We are Destined to Go and Be.

There is a Legacy of Greatness that Follows All of Us.

It is so interesting how things can impact us sometimes drastically and sometimes so gingerly, that we don’t know why we did not feel the impact immediately, but it happens.  There is some kind of awakening. Two things shook me to the core this week that gave me chills and made me weld up in tears.  It felt like a pass life experience.  It felt like and out of body experience. It was like I was in the presence of my ancient elders that I did not know and the elders that had played a vital part in my life.  They were all there. They were speaking in sensation that was not a verbal language, but a language of the soul. It opened up my understanding of the lineage that I came from.  I could see myself in spaces that my forefathers and foremothers had existed in.  I could feel the beauty and strength that sustained their lives and had been passed on to me.  What a gift! What a privilege! I now know what runs through my veins. I now know what is expected of me.  I now know that my design in human form and spiritual expression was not by chance, but by Divine Design.  I had been called into existence for a life of purpose. I had been called into existence to fulfill a promise needed to contribute, by these heavenly elders. I am so inspired! I am so excited! I am so glad to come to the realization that no matter what occurs along our life’s journey, our awakening always occurs at some point in our life.  It happens exactly when and where it is to take place.  We don’t control the time schedule or the events that mold us into our purpose.

You ask me what was it that spurred this moment of this awakening.  I had tuned into the Netflix original documentary, “High on the Hog” and the rehearsal of the “Lion King”, new Broadway cast singing “ Circle of Life”, and I could not contain myself.  The legacy of how American cuisine has been impacted by the African American culinary gifts dating back to the foundation of this country’s governmental establishment. Both Washington and Jefferson had African American chefs that were slaves. The story is compelling.  Then if that was not enough a friend sent me a link to the rehearsal of the “Lion King”.  Listening to the resounding voices of the cast, and the call and response of the two lead singers of African descent sent me back to the beginning of my family legacy.  The legacy of greatness follows all of us.  It is there for each of us. The remembering and revisiting it cannot only sustain us, but can pole volt us forward toward our purpose.  Stay open! Stay aware! Stay vigilant to what you expose yourself to so that which engulfs your attention can carry you to a higher vibration.  It is not a vibration that you can reside in all the time!  It is a vibration you dip into when you need to regenerate your wiring to take a leap forward or when you just need to sit in it and be absorbed in the vitality of their presence.
