My special grandson Celio gave me this topic for sharing today. I had asked friends and family for suggestions, and he overheard the request. Celio is 9 years old, and I should have not been at all amazed when he piped into the conversation and strongly and confidently said, “You should write on this topic Becky, “Perfection is a State of Mind”. Of course, no one else dared to offer anything else after that because they could not compete with his wisdom. So once again-
“Out of the mouths of babes”!
First of all, let’s be clear, the only thing that is in a state of perfection, are human beings when they are born to this world. “Great Spirit” ushers each of us here in a “State of Perfection” because the perfection that really matters in the design of our lives is not our physical manifestation, but our “Soul Expression”. In other words, we are “God’s” architectural engineering “Divine Design”. Each of us being never a duplicate of anyone else. There are even differences in the “Soul Expression” of identical twins.
We are so much more than flesh and bone! The flesh is temporal, and the “Spirit” is eternal. “Great Spirit” has us fully equipped to transition on to this earthly plane. “Great Spirit” does not expect “perfection” whatever that is, from us because we were not meant to be perfection in the manifestation of the flesh. Our being in the flesh struggles with trying to be the “Perfection” of what we think and feel the demands of society have on “who and what” we are expected to show up as. This is not what “Great Spirit” wants us to fall into. He wants us to recognize the beauty and genius of who we were designed to be.
So according to Celio, “Perfection is a State of Mind”. He ascribes to the enlightenment that seeking perfection, is something we search for in our mind, but that in reality it is a deception to think that we can be perfect and that we need to be perfect. In order for us to be in the full expression of who we are mind, body, and spirit, it is only necessary for these elements of our being to be in alignment, or as some of would say, “In Divine Right Order”! As our whole being engages in an interaction between the different elements of our being, we are in that state a perfect being living our “best life” and in “Great Spirit’s eyes, His plan has met His expectations for the beauty and purpose of our lives.
So to answer the questions:
Yes, this notion of perfection is something we create in our “Mind”!
Yes, this notion that we need “Perfection is a “Deception”!
No, “ Perfection” is not necessary and unrealistic on a physical level!
Yes, our “Soul’s Expression” was born in a state of perfection, and it is our life time responsibility to protect our soul from being in any way tainted, abused, or darken by the “ways of the world”.
Closing Advice: Seek not perfection of the flesh but maintain the perfection of your “Soul”!
It’s a heavenly gift!
