This is the time to think on things that lift our “Spirits” and gives us inspiration and excitement for “Life”. Things that elicit a feeling of hope and endless possibilities for your life.  There really is more good and beautiful things happening every day that are overshadowed by the loud thunderous noise of what the media feeds us.  Our society is overrun with a perspective that everything around us is falling apart. I think sometimes when we finish listening to the news, we don’t even feel comfortable in our skin!  I have resorted to cutting the daily news out of my life.

I check in on my phone only periodically at the advice of my doctor.  She shared with me that in the last year that a high percentage of her patients that never had high blood pressure, are now on medication.  Her advice to all of them was to quit the news!  The other part of this is to surround yourself with people that are also looking for the “joy” of life.  We need to be in the company of people that know that our society today, is dealing not only our national chaos and upheaval of the “Rule of law “, and civility, but with also global issues that impact all of us! We know that there has to be other elements operating concurrently that can help us keep a balance in our life.

We have to be in a space where we can turn the noise of negativity off.  It is no surprise that our drowning in negative thoughts are making us feel anxious and hopeless. We can’t let negativity take our power of defense away from us and drag us into despair.   We cannot give up our power to things we have no control of.  We must take our emotional strength and spiritual wisdom and ward off that which is not in our best interest.  “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things.” (Philippians 4:8) It is not easy at first to ignore all the clattering noise and confusion that tries to fill our heads.

If we practice filling our hearts with joyful thoughts and see things and do things that make a shift in our intentional reality, then we will have the courage to create that which we want to live and experience.   I know that we can do this.  Can you imagine the life we can live when we take control of managing what we will and will not allow to take up space in our psyche?  We do this in other aspects of our life.  It would be easy if we could just open an app on our phone, go to settings and manage what we wanted to block, but since we can’t-yet- we will just have to use our own will power.

So, let’s take a deep breath, go within to that sacred space where we have intimate conversations with ourself and ‘Great Spirit’. Let’s make a pack! Let’s set an intention that we are going to receive only that which is good in life.  We are going to look for the things in our life that gives us peace, joy, love, and contentment that will allow us to live our lives in a space of gratitude! My Mom use to say, “Wear this world as a loose garment”! I know it to be good advice!

P.S. Finding your peace and joy in life, does not mean we are not called to be agents of change and be supportive in raising the vibration of our humanity!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting our humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

**Note: These recordings are based on my blog writings, and all of this comes through Spirit.  The recordings are a reflection of the writings and are not edited because I do not want to alter what is coming to me through “Great Spirit”.  I am not seeking perfection, only serving as a vessel to bring love, peace, and joy, to our humanity.

Thank You, Jim Brickman for your beautiful music that vibrates through this recording. This is a selection from his album – “Music to Quiet Your Mind and Sooth Your World”.
