Why is it so very difficult for some of us to utter the words “Mahalo nui loa” – “Thank you very much”? Why does it seem to be slipping from our English language? What does saying, “thank you very much” mean to the person saying it? What does receiving that expression of gratitude mean to the person receiving it? I am sure that to some people is has become a sort of automatic response with very little forethought behind expressing it.
I think to some people receiving the expression, they too could be on auto pilot and not give much thought about receiving the expression of gratitude. We have actually started doing a lot of our cultural values and expressions on automatic pilot without much thought or concern about how we are expressing ourselves or concern as to how others are receiving our engagement with them.
Yes, it takes time and energy to communicate with one another, but it is a core necessity for us as a human race. We need to invest in each other. We need to be able to tell each other that we are grateful and appreciative for what they do for us in our lives that not only helps to sustain our wellbeing but add quality and beauty to our lives. Saying “Mahalo nui loa” does not take anything from us, in fact, it gives us the essence of character development that we need in our spiritual growth. When we say it, we have to stop-pause for an instant, and then with real authentic energy and earnestly, utter those magical words- “Thank you very much”.
The funny thing is that when you do it this way, the feeling you get in return can’t be put in words. It is a vibration that tingles throughout your body and the next thing you know you are smiling because you feel happy and sort of complete. I think we get more from saying thank you then we could have anticipated. When someone says “Thank you very much” to me, I never take it for granted. I always feel that if someone takes out the time and recognizes what I do for them and what they mean to me, then I am on the right path to living a happy, whole, and healthy life.
We owe it to ourselves and to those who are in our life’s space to express our gratitude and appreciation for them and to what they contribute to our lives. We don’t have a minute to lose! We have no control over what transpires in life, and we don’t want to miss any opportunity to express what lies in our heart. What we give to each other and what we receive from one another are the most precious gifts life can bless us with.
So, dig deep within your soul and allow your sprit to take flight! Free your self from the auto pilot lifestyle and think about taking notice to those that are blessing the quality of your life in good times and in times when you are facing challenges! Who shows up for you? Who do you show up for? I am going to take the time to reflect on the people in my life and make sure I do right by them! How about you?
“Mahalo nui loa”
So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression. May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.
Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

The recordings are a reflection of the writings and are not edited because I do not want to alter what is coming to me through “Great Spirit”. I am not seeking perfection, only serving as a vessel to bring love, peace, and joy, to our humanity.
