“Indaba”- “Deep Talk”

Indaba (Deep Talk)

They just want love cause they are “love”! They need us and we need them!

Children are in crisis all over the world!

Now children are knocking at our doors and instead of us greeting them with open arms and caring hearts, we confront them with admonishment and cage their bodies and souls. We must address what is happening to children, one challenge at a time and it seems that Spirit is asking us to start right here at home! Join us for a conversation, contemplation, brainstorming, information that unveils the truth, ritual with our ancestors to guide our thoughts and set forth the direction and actions of our minds and feet on the course that we must take.

I would like to engage you in responding to this blog with your thoughts and ideas on how we as individuals, and as a collective representation of humanity can intercede to support these children stranded on the border. Stranded in time and space. Stranded without love and affection. Stranded without spiritual and emotional nourishment. We must feed them not only physically, emotionally, and spiritually, but we must find a way to bring them home to safety and stability.

I invite you to engage in this “Indaba”- this “Deep Talk”.  This will be the first step!

Grant Us Thy Peace in Times of Loss

Grant Us Thy Peace In Times of Loss

The “Tree of Life” representing the reflection of both sides of the “Veil”-our earthly and heavenly sacred spaces.
Those that transition from this plane to the next leave us in the flesh but never in the “Spirit”.

Grant Us Thy Peace in Times of Loss.
I am writing this stream of consciousness today, because many of my friends are processing the loss of a family member, friend, and in some cases an endeared pet.  Loss is loss and the feeling of being separated from someone or some thing that was a vital part of your life’s experiences leaves a void in soul.

There are times in our lives when along our divine path we find that there is a fork in the road.
We have to make life decisions that result in our making extreme sacrifices and ultimately supreme loss. I don’t understand the purpose and I don’t know what the overall reason is for these challenge are in connection to our life’s journey. Is it preparation for what? I don’t believe it is to punish and cause us pain and distress, but it does when you really love and care about the people we are losing or have lost.

I try to balance the experience of loss and be an agent to support the healing of pain and hurt of others. I realize that all of this is so out of my control, because it is about the decisions and destiny of others – not just mine. My prayer is to be entrenched in unconditional love that I live my life in the Christ Spirit and through the principles of Christ so that I can be of support to others.  Help me to come out of situations of loss with purpose, joy, peace and a new understanding and vision of what life can be, in spite of or because of, the experience of losing people who have or are transitioning. Life without the unconditional connected love of others, can make it more challenging to process these experiences alone. Please let us find peace and a sense of resolve, so we are able to live physical, emotional and spiritually healthy lives! There is no timeline or appropriate way to grieve! It is personal! It is about each day finding a way to acceptance, resolution, peace, and surrendering. Surrendering to the knowledge that all is well and in divine right order.

Instinctual Love

Could there ever be any more perfect instinctual love than the love of brothers?

Instinctual Love:

A love you don’t have to work to have or give, it is innate in your being.

Love knows no barriers. If only we could understand the connection we should have in our human species and acknowledge that nature and animals act on instinctual love, we would put humanity back into divine right order! There is but one God that expresses His love, peace and care for all humanity. He speaks to each of through many religious expressions so that we all have access to Him. God sees no difference in the beings He created!

It’s just like a parent with more than one child. You love all your children and you recognize them as individuals with different personalities and different needs. You love them equally because they are flesh of your flesh and blood of your blood! We are all of the same species! We are out of many expressions of His creation one people! We must wake up and take heed to the fact that we are inter- connected or we will become extinct like other species that inhabited this planet! Wake up! Wake up! There is no place for hatred in our souls!

Let Freedom Ring-

Boricua, Barrilero in Caguas, Puerto Rico-

Independence Day- Day of Independence- A Day to Celebrate Freedom

As many of our American citizens are celebrating the 4th of July today, I had to re-evaluate my feelings and understanding of how I as an African American woman born to an African American father from the South, and a Jamaican mother of mixed ethnicity, fit into the fabric of the American culture celebrating the Independence from Great Britain. A battle fought by Americans and slaves alike. Promises made, and promises broken.  But the thing that comes to my mind and heart, this is a day that has significance in another way. For me I understand the need for independence and freedom.

I have the independence to make my own life’s decisions and to know that I have the freedom to set the course of my destiny without fear of being judged or restricted. How magnificent and precious are the gifts of independence and freedom.  We take it for granted as we go about our daily lives.  In so many corners of the world, people have never experiences this gift of freedom. If ever there was a time in this country to uphold our independence, it is now! It is time to re-evaluate what we all have an investment in.  Our freedom is to be honored and respected.  This country is the “Great Experiment in the Democratic System of Government”.

We cannot allow the partisan politics that are erupting in our government to destroy the fundamentals of our country that’s intentions is to govern for the people and by the people.  I acknowledge that I am blessed this day that celebrates “Independence” and I pray that people around the world might be afforded the same gift of freedom that rings in my heart and resides in the depth of my soul.

God Bless the America for what it can be, a place of freedom, inclusion, justice, acceptance, and dignity for all that are inheriting this land, shall they be free!  May who and what we are to become as our democracy is manifested, be a light for the world to hold the truth’s, that all mankind is equal and worthy of this freedom to be independent and free. I hear the “Beat of a Different Drummer”.

There is a Better Way to Live and Let Live-

The beauty that has been bestowed upon us in this planet is worth sacrificing the “Me, Myself and I” life style for the good of the collective “WE”.

There is A Better Way to Live and Let Live!

End the violence, greed, and judgment!

First of all God the Father three in one is not coming back again because He never left. The flesh was sacrificed but the Spirit of God resides within each of us that know He is the Alpha and Omega. God speaks to us as individuals, families, communities of faith, and in cultural context that meets our needs as a global society.

God is still speaking and His truth and words to us go beyond the Bible, Koran etc. Don’t get stuck at the foundations of the different religious ideologies and theologies.

It is time to be in our quiet sacred spaces and listen to His words that are calling us to love, respect, honor and care for one another! He is clear!

Feed the hungry!  -(physically, spiritually and emotionally)

Clothe the naked!

Educate everyone in our global society!

House the homeless!

Realize that the world belongs to each of us regardless of race, ethnicity, citizenship, wealth, illusions of power and physical or mental capacity. In reality not in the altered state of illusions, we are all equal. One race –the human race.

Provide employment and support each other in living sustainable lives that nurture self worth so that crime and violence are not viable answers to broken lives and tormented souls because people know they are loved and accepted unconditionally and without judgment!
End the violence and substance abuse. We are not living our lives in our divinity that was our birthright!
Compassion, Unconditional Love, Respect, Acceptance, Ethics, Grace and Mercy are the principles we must embrace and put into action in our daily lives.
God instills in us innate intuitive knowledge and wisdom of right from wrong to live by, that covers everything we need to sustain our humanity and live in peace and joy! The answers lie within our individual souls and our collective humanity if we so choose to live those essential elements.

My stream of consciousness is evolving from this space of “wanting” change to another space that I feel emerging, but I don’t know what that is until “Spirit” speaks! I’m listening for the still quiet voice that resides in my soul!

Fallen from Grace, or Embraced by Grace?

Fallen from Grace, or Embraced by Grace?

The condition of the human race- It’s about the “Embrace”!

Truthfully we need to answer God’s call for peace and love! The human race has fallen from grace and lost it’s humanity! If not now, when? Thousands of years! Thousands of opportunities! And still we do not grow and evolve in our spiritual essence, which is God’s creation in our being! It is what we come here with from our heavenly existence. The link between that plane of eternity and our earthly existence! We just can’t seem to express our divinity collectively!

I think one of the missing links is our inability to look beyond our cultural rituals and practices for answers to how to heal and sustain the “goodness” and “gifts” that are inherit in our design.  Do we see people from what they demonstrate merely by their physicality, what they expound verbally, or by their outward behavior?  There is so much more involved in “who” we are!  We need to search for and care for the “soul essence” of each other.  It starts during childhood and must be nurtured throughout our lives.  It is like “catering” to our humanity in each other.  Serving each other daily with love and attention.  Calling each other out when we have missed a step in our gait that does not serve us well. It is engaging with one another, praying for each other, being a safe place for one another.  I guess I say this a lot in my “notes to humanity”,-blogging, but it is a message that is heavy on my heart.  I know we can make a difference in each other’s lives, and that by doing so we are planting the seeds for a better world for our children.  I found this picture on Facebook, and it stays with me in my dreams and prayers.  I believe the principles of this ritual holds a key to healing and guiding each other through those events that make us feel that we have “fallen from Grace”. Can we offer the “embrace of Grace”, instead of the stigma of “Falling from Grace”? Think about this please and let’s engage in a conversation!

In certain regions of South Africa, when someone does something wrong, he/she is taken to the center of the village and surrounded by his tribe for two days while they speak of all the good he/she has done. They believe each person is good, yet sometimes we make mistakes, which is really a cry for help. They unite in this ritual to encourage the person to reconnect with his/her true nature. The belief is that unity and affirmation have more power to change behavior than shame and punishment. This is known as “Ubunta”- “humanity towards others”.

Can you imagine parenting with these principles?

We Plan and God Navigates-

We Plan and God Navigates-

It’s About Family, It’s About Citizens of Our Collective Humanity.

A Thirst For Life Takes Energy and Determination Which Is the Way Children Approach Life! Thanks Ua!

I know we all from time to time have conversations about other people’s lives and our expectations for what we wish and hope for them in their life’s journey. We must however realize that ultimately each person is taking this walk on their journey in their divine purpose and contract with God. What unfolds in our spirit and personage is amazing growth. We are called to love and support each person in our circle of influence and care, because that is what is to be part of the “whole”. We must never hold on to each other’s challenges and life experiences in judgment.  We are being used to guide and support, knowing that “God is not through with any of us yet. I pray that others will let God do His work with us, in us and, through us. When we engage with one another without passing judgment but giving grace, Love, and patience, we fulfill our purpose for being connected to each other. No two paths are the same. No path is better than another. Each path is a walk with God who ultimately is in charge.

We each unfold at our appointed timeline and become and reveal our destiny call!

We can’t have faith in God and His intimate relationship in our lives and take it upon ourselves to question the course of some else’s life.

We honor, respect and acknowledge that we love the people in our life and want the best for them. Being in relationship with someone calls us to take the time to share their concerns and for us to have the same opportunity.  We must all have a safe place to be ourselves, and to allow others as well to have a safe place, to grow through life’s experiences. I have faith that God is navigating our lives and that we are fulfilling the desires of His heart for us so that ultimately this life journey will be beautiful and fulfilling. God gathered us together to be instruments of his love, grace and mercy to and for the world, but first these attributes must be tested and practiced within and among our own family and friends. I saw my parents stand for us during the most difficult periods of our coming to be our divine selves. They spoke their minds through their hearts. It was never about them it was always giving us time to express and explore and yes sometimes fail, but we knew that they would love us though our quest to find ourselves. For each child it looked different because we were each different. I don’t expect everyone to understand, but after so many years of living, my eyes are wide open to see beyond what is on this physical plain. I read hearts and souls. We can never let our family become victimized by the world that wants us to be torn apart. We must fight like hell to protect each other and our family as an eternal unit. We have traveled together for many life times and will for many to come. This is the most important job we have.

There are times that God has to heal relationships in our family and with those that we proclaim to be our friends, so we can live life in a space of harmony and wellbeing.

But we must be open and available to Him!

Please reach out to each other because we owe that first to God and then to each other! As parents we need to stand for them and with each other for that is the only way you can survive and thrive in this world. You all need each other!
Standing in Prayer!

He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands-

He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands

I had to make this connection to my souls journey today as I see what is going on in the world! As I watch people live in their pain bodies, I realize how fragile and unconnected we are with one another! I realize how the journey for my people has not changed since the days of slavery. The strength and fortitude of our forefathers and foremothers, has poured elements into our souls that have given us the ability to stay the course to freedom and equality! There is the saying “ How long dear God, how long?” We are still enslaved to the terror of racism, economic inequality, mis-education, the criminal system and self-hatred because if no one thinks us to be worthy of love, how can we then see ourselves as being lovable?

When I sit and listen to these voices of my ancestors, I know who I am! I know who I belong to! I know what I am capable of! I know I am love, grace, beauty and intelligence! I see the God within my soul and I can see the God within the souls of our collective humanity, even when others cannot see it in themselves or in others! It might be asleep or dormant, but it can be awaken! We as a people of the human race were given everything our souls needed from before our earthly arrival! The question now is, how do we awaken from our slumber and what can we do for others to awaken them to their divine soul expressions! How do we nurture, guide, and protect the beauty of a child’s soul so that it never falls asleep?  If you have answers to these questions that are rising from my heart, please share!!!

Out of the Mouth of Babes-Truth be Told

Children realize that there is always more truth and knowledge to learn-That’s why their hearts and minds are open!

Out of the Mouth of Babes-Truth be Told

Celio’s words of wisdom:

Celio, “our” grandson, who was then 5 years of age, walked into the living room and observed me watching the news. He then proceeded to ask me, ” Becky, why do you guys watch so much news?  I responded, “Because we want to know what is going on in the world”.  He shook his head and looking at me face to face replied, “Becky the world does not tell you what is going on, you must tell the world what is going on”!

Well I guess once again, ” out of the mouth of babes!” We better stop ignoring children cause obviously they know and hold the truth.
