I’m Just Sayin-#99 A Day of Gratitude for the Blessings in Our Lives that are Bountiful and Precious! We are To Take Nothing and No One

For Granted!

Life affords us so much beauty and grace,
We need to indulge in our blessings and be,
“Grateful”!

Gratitude: A day in which we can gather as a family and pay homage for our blessings.

We don’t celebrate the traditional Thanksgiving Day, as a result of our awakening to the truth of the story that we were taught in by our traditional American institutions, but as a family that values our faith in “Great Spirit”, and what has been done to support the lives of our family and friends, we celebrate “Our Day of Gratitude”! We believe that gratitude as an attribute of our character is a personal mandate that we impose upon ourselves! It is a given! It is effortless! It is the guiding force in how we live our lives and acknowledge that “if not for the grace of God”, our lives would not be filled with as much love, compassion, and joy as we are blessed to have! Gratitude for the blessings that have been bestowed upon us, gratitude for what others have done for us, requires letting go of a humongous ego and be humble enough to understand that it is not just important to give, it is important to receive and bless those that are gracious enough to give!

So today, as we gather with those family members that are here, we will pray prayers of gratitude for all our blessings. We will acknowledge those that are and have been blessings in our life!  We acknowledge the legacy of our ancestors and the wisdom of our elders!

We will model for our children and grandchildren, that gratitude impacts our attitude and attitude impacts the quality of our divine life’s expression! So today, to all that read this note, I pray that your life be blessed with the wholeness of “gratitude”!

My prayer for the world today is that “Great Spirit” intercedes in the fragmentation, hatred, racism, classism, warring spirits, the lack of compassion for humanity, and brings this world back to what was intended for this planet that was gifted to and for us. Lift up in your thoughts today all the blessings that have been given unconditionally us and our love ones. Let us never forget that we must live our lives from a place of gratitude. Trust me, it changes the quality of your life and your perspective on life.

Breaking News!! It’s A New Day!!! November 26th, 2024- Day 82  Gratitude Feeds the Soul! Today is a day that “Great Spirit” has ordained for your life and soul expression.

The path to happiness is living a life of gratitude.

Daily Mantra:

There is nothing you do not have the potential of accomplishing and manifesting that are the true desires of your heart.  We are each entitled to live a full, joy filled, and purposeful life.  Take hold of who your “divine identity” is, and your “divine life’s destiny plan and journey and will bless you and the world will be blessed.

Chat for the day: 

Count your blessings, name them one by one,

Count the blessings that have come from heaven above,

Count the many times “Great Spirit” has come through for you,

Count the blessings even those that you didn’t even ask for.

Count the blessings that have changed your challenges into victories,

Count the blessings that you have the heart to share,

Count the blessings that have answered your prayers.

This is the time, and we are in the space, where we can reflect on our life and how important it is for us to live our life aware of all the blessings that have endowed the richness of our life. The holidays set the stage for us to pull away from the routine of our lifestyle and step into a world of giving, sharing, and receiving.  We can take out time to see the beauty and wonder all around us and dare to be happy and content with where we are, who we are, and what we have to be grateful for.  Enjoy your family and friends.  Keep in mind how precious a gift it is to have a life full of unconditional blessings!

The principle to live by that will support our destiny path is: Counting our blessings!

I am feeling like this is a gratitude and appreciation day for the blessings I have received.    I am sure we all have something to be thankful for today if we take note of even the seemliest the most insignificant things that happen to us and for us in our day!  Sometimes it is not even about us directly but about someone we love or are concerned about.  It’s the times that we wake up and have our full capacity and are alive and well to experience another day.  We really cannot take any blessing for granted.  In order for us to be cognizant of how our lives are being blessed it requires us to be “present” in our life.  It requires for us to be fully engaged in our life and find ways to be vocal about our blessings.  I know each of us have had situations in our life where we didn’t know how we would be able to find a way to make it through.  Some how out of what might seem like nowhere, a blessing shows up!

Keep track of those blessings my friend.  Cherish them and hold them dear.  Never be insensitive or nonchalant about the gift of a blessing.   Never forget to also be a blessing in someone else’s life as well.  It is amazing how your life is blessed when you unconditionally and intentionally reach out to do something that supports someone else’s life journey.  I hope that we can even with all that is going on in our world to recognize the good that is happening in our life and the lives of others.

Breaking News!! It’s A New Day!!! October 21st, 2024- Day 63. Count Your Blessings One By One, For It Is Amazing What Great Spirit Has Done!  Today is a day that “Great Spirit” has ordained for your life and soul expression.

The depth of the beauty that surrounds us can cause us to pause.

Daily Mantra:

There is nothing you do not have the potential of accomplishing and manifesting that are the true desires of your heart.  We are each entitled to live a full, joy filled, and purposeful life.  Take hold of who your “divine identity” is, and your “divine life’s destiny plan and journey and will bless you and the world will be blessed.

Chat for the day: 

From day to day, we have no clue as to what we are going to encounter.  Will it be one of those smooth sailing uneventful days where we have no major or minor challenges, or will it be a day of unexpected events that require us to rise up and call in all our inner strength to navigate what has landed on our plate?  Will it be a day that stretches us to be more than we thought we had the capacity to be?  Will it be a day where we have to “have a little talk with “Great Spirit” to ask for guidance and directions on what we need to do and how to do what we need to do?  Will it be a day that will surprise us on who does and does not support us when we need “just a little help” to pull through the challenge? 

Will it be a day where we feel that we have grown in some area of our life?  Will it be a day where we discover something new and beautiful about ourselves?  Will it be a day where our nerves are a little worn and tethered and we feel out of sorts or like we are having an “out of body” experience and can’t find our grounding?  Will it be the kind of day that we have an “uh ah moment” and realize this is the day for “care of self”?  Will it be the kind of day where everything falls right into place, and we are happy and secure about who we are right now in this moment?  Will it be the kind of day where our heart is so full of joy and contentment that we realize that “Great Spirit” was all in the mix dishing out the blessings that made us love ourselves so that we can see the why and how to love others. 

Seeing “Great Spirit’s” presence in the fabric and context of our life experiences helps us to recognize when we are in the midst of a shower of angelic blessings.  Wrap yourself up in the essence of those blessings and the quality of your life will reveal how amazing life can be when you live in a space of gratitude.

    Sunday Morning Prayers #54 But For the Grace of God…

    Gratitude for all the blessings I have received!
    Always given in the timing of “Great Spirit”,
    which is always what I need when I need it.

    Dear Great Spirit,

    I approach you with humility for all have done in my life that has seen me through the challenges that have confronted me, and for being present with me and for me in the joys and abundance that has blessed my life. So often we forget to acknowledge that you are as near as our next breath, and as deeply involved in our life that our souls have access to your Holy Spirit 24/7, from this earthly realm to eternity and beyond! We forget to stop, look, and listen to you, we miss an opportunity for your divine intervention in our life as well as a chance to just be in a state of “being” with you! Those times we open up and surrender to your will for our divine destiny journey, we are blessed with peace, joy, compassion, and an understanding of knowing that all is “well with our souls”!

    What a blessing it is to be in communion with you “Great Spirt! I don’t understand how people live without being entrenched in your unconditional love! There is in my mind no feeling like being wrapped in your arms of emotional security! There is nothing like being in connection with you in mind, body, and spirit. Living a life without voids! Living a life where you can share the essence of your being which is a reflection of the God within you is the “good life” a life that has meaning and purpose!

    Sunday Morning Prayers-#29 Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory of the Beauty of “Great Spirits” Creations!

    Thank you, “Great Spirit”, for the beauty of this earth and all it provides for the substance and stainability of humanity!
    This is the majesty of the God I serve!

    “Great Spirit”,

    From the heavens above you adorn the sky with the beauty of your infinite artistry.  We are so blessed to have not only the physical vision to see what you created on our behalf, but instilling in us the spiritual gratitude that you endowed us with to appreciate this gift.  I realize in our human condition that we more than often are so over stimulated and overwhelmed, that we forget to take stock of what is “right before our eyes! We are truthfully blessed when we take the time to just look up toward the sky, walk beside a running creek, take a walk on the sands of the beach, or stand on top of a hilltop and gaze at the masterpiece of nature that lays its canvas all around you.

    “Great Spirit”, our prayer today is to rekindle within us, the desire, the time and the space to listen to that still small voice within us that tells us to take the time to be present in our lives so that we can benefit from all that you have provided for us! Ashe!  Ashe! Ashe! Amen!
