Our Sunday Morning Prayers-#92 Empathy is the Saving Grace for Our Humanity-Voiced

Children’s hearts are so open and receptive that empathy resides in their souls, we just have to nurture what already exist within them
by demonstrating it in our own life experiences.

Our Mantra and Prayer for today on – Empathy:

Open my eyes that I may see, visions of what humanity can be. Rise up in me oh empathy, so I can be a part of the miracle that awakening can be. Let my heart be open to those in need so that the extension of my empathy illuminates the agape love that our humanity yearns for.

A word, a gentle touch, a smile that lays effortlessly on my face, and sometimes just an ear to hear the concerns of other people.  it does not take away from us to be available and accessible to other people, in fact it enhances our own quality of life that shields us from falling into the traps of ego, judgment, and societal “isms”.

Everyone in some season of their life will need kind acts of empathy! I can’t imagine how much more functional and compassionate our world would be if only we had evolved enough to realize that in order to sustain a just and ethical society that it had to be entrenched with the ability for us to show concern and empathy for one another.  Often people will say I am a sympathism towards other people.  Well, there is a difference in being able to hold a space of empathy for people and showing sympathy for people!

Empathy is a sacred presence.  It is when you don’t simply see a person’s pain, but you feel their pain.  Having empathy for someone’s pain and circumstances of life calls you to walk into the depth of their sorrow, their joy, their fear without needing to fix it or say platitudes.  Empathy is non-judgmental.  Sympathy is not void of compassion but is sometimes keeps emotional boundaries for self-protection.  It often will offer help and to comfort but it can have a tendency to be more aloft from the person’s pain.  It can also be more, opinionated.

This morning, I am praying for hearts of empathy for all the marginalized and families dealing with deportation from a country they thought would be able to empathize with their need for shelter from the circumstances that have threatened their very existence.

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

**Note: These recordings are based on my blog writings, and all of this comes through Spirit.  The recordings are a reflection of the writings and are not edited because I do not want to alter what is coming to me through “Great Spirit”.  I am not seeking perfection, only serving as a vessel to bring love, peace, and joy, to our humanity.

Thank You, Jim Brickman for your beautiful music that vibrates through this recording. This is a selection from his album – “Music to Quiet Your Mind and Sooth Your World”.
