Our Mantra Prayer for Disengaging Our Rackets

(Habits that sabotage our life’s journey) Voiced

One Divine Creator, One World, One Divine Humanity!

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

This life’s journey was meant for us to grow in character and in our spiritual knowledge that would support us in realizing our divine identities and purpose!

Our Mantra Prayer for Disengaging Our Rackets:

Being the human beings that we are and knowing how we often operate in our lives, all of us have a tendency to operate in a lifestyle structure that is holding space for our rackets-habits that work against our better good and well-being.  These rackets can be so ingrained in our being that we often are not even aware that we use them in situations where we feel we need to defend ourselves.

We might use them for avoidance when confronted with a person or situation that we are not comfortable or feel confident with engaging with. The hardest part of this dilemma is recognizing when are engaging in our “rackets” and figuring out how to disengage with the old habit of falling into them.  We don’t need to be tied down in a sea of non-productive “bad habits” or “rackets if we want a life of joy and freedom.  Rackets hold us back in our evolutional process and stifle our ability to expand the possibilities of and for our life.

Our Mantra Prayers for Today: “Disengaging in Rackets”-

(Habits that sabotage our life’s journey)

Listening to the quiet voice within my soul, may I allow myself to identify those rackets that I fall into that sabotage the quality, peace, love, and joy that is destined for me to experience on my life’s journey -and free myself from them!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

Peace, Patience and Prayer

Peace, Patience, Prayer will render the manifestation of our dreams, which ultimately lie in God’s blessing for the divinity, purpose and fulfillment of our life’s journey!

Peace that surpasses all understanding because it is difficult to actually articulate what peace is in words.  It is a feeling of perhaps contentment that swells up in our very souls.  It is the something that at times seems to slip through our grasp. It is not a state of being that is constant, but that we must draw unto ourselves to balance the chaos that creeps into our lives unexpectedly. Our daily mantra that keeps us on track is saying out loud and in our quiet moments-“Peace Be Still”!

Patience is perhaps the most challenging element in our journey.  It is life long lessons that we are faced with in so many situations.  We have a tendency to be impatient and struggle to control everything we can in our lives.  It is not realistic to think that we can control what goes on around us. We can only control what is within us.

I really believe what they say, “Patience is a virtue”. It is amazing to witness what can transpire in our lives when we are able to be patient and surrender.  When we fight against the grain and struggle to control and manipulate situations and circumstances, we are wasting energetic vibrational power that can serve us better in other aspects of our life. And then there is the power of prayer.  Prayer, being that conversation with the Creator, of all living things.

The One who knows the totality of who we are and what we are capable of. The One who sees all.  The One who hears all. The One who knows all. Prayer is the authentic engagement between us, and the “Holy Spirit”. It is available and accessible 24/7.  The beautiful thing about prayer is that it is personal and completely individualized. Your prayer is your prayer. It is strictly between you and God.

These are the sacred tools that God- “Great Spirit”, The One Source” has provided for us to utilize, that will enable us to manifest our divine purpose and find fulfillment on our life’s journey.

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

I’m Just Sayin #139

Is Your Happiness Really Negotiable?

You see for children, don’t know about negotiating their right to be happy. They are “Happiness”! Can you see it on Ua’s face?

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

Is Your Happiness Really Negotiable?

“Who Are You And What Do You Have to Offer?

It seems that this is the perfect time for us to take the opportunity to do some reflective thinking on this topic and align our answers with – the following questions that are related to this discussion.

Are you happy with what you are doing?

Are you using your gifts?

Do you feel excited about doing your “work” or are you just going to a “job”?

Is your “work” on track with what you wanted to do and be in life?

Do you feel challenged and inspired by what you are doing and how you are living your life?

Do you have balance and sacred spaces in your life that allows you to be in full expression of your divine identity?

Are you on an automatic pilot framework for your lifestyle and living habits or are you constantly checking in with yourself to see how you feel and if you are responding to life and engaging in life in a way that makes you happy, at peace and fulfilled?

Seriously, I am asking myself these very questions in what I feel God has provided the time and space for me to reflect on.  I have always sought out to find employment that would allow me to do “my work”.  Of course, in most situations my enthusiasm, excitement and commitment to what I was doing, was misunderstood.  People that did not know me personally, never quite got the “why I did the things I did”.

They never understood that I did what I did because it was my “assigned divine work” it was “my purpose”, and that I had no choice or desire to live my life void of doing what I came here to do!  I served my children in Preschool and my college students with the same energy and devotion to hopefully create not only an environment where they could discover the beauty and value of learning but would also become confident that they were loved and appreciated.

There are seasons to our lives, and now is the time for us to indulge ourselves in finding out what season we are moving into as we climb out of the chaos and dismantlement of the pandemic, the intentional distractions of chaos and all the societal challenges that we face.  Can we rebuild our lives differently so that we seek more joy, more peace, and more relevant and purposeful relationships?  Are we still willing to let our happiness be something that is in a position to be negotiated?

Have we not learned how fragile and temporal life can be on this plain so that it behooves us to be more intentional and diligent in choosing life choices that fill the cup of our soul? Check in with yourself my friends!  Take commend of the things in your life that will move you to the situations, relationships and circumstances that allow you to experience the fullness of what your life should be.

Let’s take that leap of faith and do what we know we are supposed to be doing.  I trust myself from experience to know that if I am doing what I was called to do, the Universe will provide all I need to sustain my life. Please enjoy all the beauty, excitement and happiness that can be  afforded to us by living in the present with the “Presence” and holding on to it so it can see you through times of challenges.

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

I’m Just Sayin #138-

You Have to Know You are Enough, and Be Enough for Yourself-

It’s our world to enjoy and be an integral part of expressing the fullness of our divinity.

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

You Have to Know You are Enough and Be Enough for Yourself!

It seems that for some of us in our fragile human condition that we spend a lot of our precious time wasted on worrying what people think of us.  We are concerned about people’s impression of us and live our lives engulfed in a cloud of perpetual judgment.

For the most part it started in our childhood with being concerned with pleasing our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, family friends, teachers, coaches- oh there is an endless list of people we probably wanted to please and be “wonderful for”.  It does not serve us well and it is not healthy in the least.  For those of us that are parents we have a responsibility to make sure that our children know that “they are enough for themselves and that is all that matters.

As adults so many of us still carry those feelings of inadequacy.  We act this out in our lives in so many ways, but in context to the Blog on   “The Foundation of a Healthy, Happy and Whole Relationship”, this is a vital part of being able to engage in a relationship that is whole and fulfilling.  We have to come to a place in our lives where we realize that who we are and how we feel about ourselves is a huge part of how emotionally healthy we are in our lives and in our relationships.   It is not about trying to be a missing link that fulfills any voids in someone else’s life. We can be a beautiful enhancement to the quality of a relationship, but we cannot be held responsible for making another person as some people say, “complete”.

We have to be enough for ourselves and enough of who we are in the eyes of those people we are related to, in partnership with, in friendship with, or simply engage with. Honestly, we come here as a divinely complete package.  Life happens and tries to manipulate that sense of joy and self-love.  There are experiences that can either embellish the beauty of who we are or imprint something negative on our life that stays with us and plays out in ways that are not in our best interest.

If we can recognize and acknowledge what those pain experiences are and work on freeing ourselves from the pain, we can begin to live in the wholeness of who we were designed to be.  Believe me, it is a lie that you and I are not enough.  Each of us are enough in just being our authentic selves.  We are enough for ourselves, and we are enough for the world and all that are blessed to know us.

So, Re-Cap: Be You! Love You! Respect Yourself! Honor who you are! And be in the company of people you love, respect and accept you for who you are!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

If We Were To Remember How to Be Like A Child…

There are times in our lives when the world we are navigating takes us into a state of complete lack of control and we are as the elders say, “you are beside yourself”. Funny how they are able to see the totality of who we are and can detect when we need to take a step back and collect ourselves or as my Mom would say, “come back to yourself”.

We have abandoned those elements of life that can support us in balancing our complicated lives.  Children on the other hand know instinctually what they need to engage in to be comforted and redirected to things that allow them to express joy.

We have forgotten the joy and excitement we felt when we sang our childhood songs.  It is always amazing to adults that children can sing every verse of a song that was played on the radio or TV. We painted or drew masterpieces with every stroke of our miniature paint brushes or crayons from our magical crayon boxes. We danced with every fiber of our soul never being self-conscious about what people thought about our amazing moves and sense of rhythm! We were artist and artistic expressions were part of our DNA.

There was never any hesitation about expressing our genius unless it was interrupted by the busy schedule of adults or the regime of an imposed educational system and schedule.  If left to our own devises we were happy and self-motivated and self-directed.  When we needed to retreat, we knew what to indulge in! We invented “art therapy before adults coined in and used it to enter our sacred world. The magical artistic world of children is a gift they are born with.

So, the moral to this stream of consciousness is to advise my friends to “Be like a Child” when you too need a retreat.  Remember to always value what our children usher into our lives as we observe and acknowledge our appreciation for their artistic expressions. Just think about it_

So, if …

We sing before we talk-

We dance before we walk-

We paint before we write-

Shall we?

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

The Visibly Invisible

We see you but we choose to ignore your existence-

This Blog is a continuation of the Blog entitled-

“Racial Disparity in the Health Care Practices for Mother’s 0f Color-Back to our Roots!”

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

This blog is being dedicated to my sister Lark E. Galloway-Gilliam, who spent her life advocating for health equity for communities and women of color.  She worked on both a national and international level and was supported in her work by the CDC, that recognized the importance of her work.  http://larkegalloway-gilliamlegacy.org/

The Beauty of Life- “WE, the collective humanity of women, see you and we will advocate for you!

I was so blessed to have witnessed the beautiful experience of my niece’s pregnancy and birthing of our Aoluna outside of the confines of so call traditional conventional medical hospital experience.  Leilani chose very intentionally to have a Mid-Wife and Doula as her way of bringing her daughter into this worldly plain.

She did her research and Great Spirit brought just the most perfect person and organization to do this “Big Work” of supporting her pregnancy and childbirth experience.  If you had a chance to read my previous Blog on her experience with the doctor’s office, then you know how disappointed Lei and our family was on the indifference and lack of connection and concern that was shown for her and her baby.

This was an answer to our prayers and an answer to Leilani’s intentions and conviction she had to manifest the right people and right situation that would support this highly spiritual ritualistic journey.

It is an amazing to finally feel as a Black female and mother through this experience that there are sacred spaces where we are not invisible.  In our larger American culture and society, we are the “Visibly Invisible”.  Our mortality as Black women and Black infants is off the chart! In this day and age, I don’t understand why our women are given such lack of concern and interest.  Overall, the CDC statistics for 2024 was U.S. maternal mortality was at 17.9 per 100.000 live births while Black mothers were 44.8  deaths per 100.000, White mothers were 14.2, Hispanic mothers were 12.1 deaths, and Asian mothers were 18.1 deaths.

You would think in terms of at least the medical system there would be some allegiance to providing health care for a mother regardless of the color of her skin.  There is a real problem in this country that festers in racism that is still played out. I really admire organizations like “Sugarheal Gang, which works in concert with Black Maternity Healthcare Fund.  These are the organizations that showed up for Leilani and Setelo her husband to not only bring her baby safely into this world but continued to be a community of health and care for she and the baby after the birth.

Can you imagine the difference in the health and welfare of our children if they have a healthy start to grow in from the womb to birth and are not traumatized but are received within the sacred space of ritual and love.

Can you imagine what a great beginning it is for a mother to have not only the emotional support of a partner and family, but to have someone with a medical knowledge and spiritual intuition to be in relationship with as your midwife?

Our Grandmother was a Mid-Wife, and my sister Patty is a Doula.  We must celebrate the strength, intuition and tenacity that a mother must have to bring life into this world.  We as woman of compassionate spirits have work to do!

In Closure to this Blog I want to highlight that –

We women of color do not have to be “The Visibly Invisible”.  We are visible to Great Spirit who holds the truth of who we are and how valuable and precious we are.  We must empower each other to stand in our truth of who we know ourselves to be. We are manifestations of Great Spirit, in it’s origin design for humanity.  We have purpose!  We are divine! We represent the depths of “Mother Earth’s” spiritual intuition.  We must take hold of it and use it for ourselves and ignite it in others.  We must form communities of support like we had in our tribal days of old.

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

If it were not for my angels and my family’s support there would be no way in the world that I could have written over 13,000 blogs in the last 4 years.

The blogs have reached anywhere from 350 people a week to 200,000 people in a week.  We never know what will touch someone’s heart space and consciousness.  We just keep praying, listening, writing, and posting what “Great Spirit” supplies us with.  I’m clear it is a “WE” and not an “I”!  Angels are all in the mix!

Happy Birthday Wishes and Blessings Celio!

This blog was written on Celio’s 9th birthday. Today is Celio’s 14th Birthday and as “Spirit would have it I was called to give voice to this blog again today. Celio is Joy! Celio is Peace! Celio is Contentment! Celio is Gratitude! We not only learn from our children, but they also keep us in check with what is really important and valuable in life. Thanks, Celio for choosing us as your family.

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

There is joy all around us, we just have to set an intention to look for it and embrace it. We have the inner power to attract the wholeness and peace that resides in joy.

There is a difference between looking for others to make us happy and finding the joy that people bring into our lives.  We are responsible for finding the peace and joy that was part of our divine design from infancy.  We giggled! We blew bubbles with our saliva! We could find absolute joy in the simplest things- the sound of a familiar voice, the smile of a tender heart, the gentle touch of a caring parent or family member, playing on our own amusing ourselves in our environment or just gazing at things that captivated our attention and set our curiosity and senses into action.

Without a doubt there were times we needed engagement to be happy, but there were also those times that being with ourselves was enough.  Was it that we innately loved ourselves and were capable of making ourselves happy and content?  This is a gift in our design that we need to hold fast to.

The very idea that we are enough is in its self an amazing attribute to face the world with.  If we can hold on to the “who” we were when we knew how to be in a state of peace, joy, contentment, and gratitude, we would truly live lives that would keep us healthy physically, emotionally and spiritually.  This does not mean that we live in a constant state of joy and peace! There has to be the contrast in the human experience.

The important aspect of this is to be able to have a balance and to know how to pull ourselves into our joy, peace, and wholeness, when it is needed. Children for the most part know how to navigate this balance. They don’t complicate their being in the world with holding on to things that initiate pain and discord in their life.  We are the ones who model this behavior for them.

I think my work and play with children is what has brought me my greatest experiences of joy.  Thank you, my Niki! They keep me in touch with the “child” that lives within my soul. It is in each of us. I do believe that our connection to children offers us the ability to reconnect with that vibration of joy!

So, although no one is responsible for us as adults to make us happy, we as adults are responsible for safeguarding joy, peace and contentment in the lives of our children- not just our biological children- but our children in and of our humanity on a global scale. Tap into your joy! Tap into your peace! Be in your contentment as much and as often as you can. It is in each of us!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

I’m Just Sayin-#133-The Audacity to Judge-Voiced

Throughout our life we will have opportunities to make a choice to be nonjudgmental of not only others, but ourselves. Life can be beautiful!

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

Luke 6: 37-

Judge not; and you shall not be judge.  Condemn not: and you shall not be condemned.  Forgive: and you shall be forgiven.

This stream of consciousness is fed from a discussion that popped up on my social media in reference to “calling out” someone and passing so much judgment on their life. It really bothered me so of course I had to say my peace.

I fail to see how we have the audacity to reflect, review or judge the life and lifestyle choices of other people. We are all merely fallible imperfect beings who are on a chosen life’s journey that will supply many life lessons for us to make choices and decisions on! How we play that out will determine the quality of life we live not on just a physical plain but a spiritual plain.

We all have “break in belongings” that we must decide how to not only heal from but evolve from. There is so much work we have to do on and for ourselves that at this time and season in our world history, we must turn our attention, focus and energy on living our best life so we impact humanity on a positive vibration! Much higher than where we are now!

You know the old saying,” People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.  We are all vulnerable to criticism should therefore not criticize others.  What we need from each other now is to be compassionate with one another.  We must allow others to be their authentic selves and follow the destiny of their life’s path.  We cannot dictate who a person should be, or how they should live their life, and we must expect and demand that others show us the same consideration and respect.

The groundwork begins in childhood. So many parents miss this point in relationship to their children.  We have to understand that we are merely their earthly guardians and we have a responsibility to make a space for them to evolve into who they were designed to be.  We nurture we don’t prescribe of judge. We have to be mindful that if a child has an experience that creates a “break of belonging” for them! That feeling of being inadequate or wanting to be in full expression of who they are.

We want to know what our children are thinking and feeling. The world will do enough to try to disrupt them from being happy, whole and healthy so we have to be intentional about supporting them in building their own sense of self and self-worth.  We teach them the value of being compassionate, respectful and loving human beings. It starts in childhood you see. And as my mother always said, “ Start out the way you want to end up”.

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

It refers to the mental conflict that occurs when a person’s behaviors and beliefs do not align.  It may also happen when a person holds two beliefs that contradict one another.  Cognitive dissonance causes feelings of unease and tension, and people attempt to relieve this discomfort in different ways.

Harmony-

It refers to an agreement in action, opinion, feeling things on one accord. Harmony refers to order or congruity of parts to their whole or to one another.

It seems to be a constant effort to sort through the maze of cognitive dissonance that is ever present in trying to engulf us in a state of unease and tension.  It captivates and distracts us from enjoying the harmony and peace that we are not only entitled to but are worthy of.

Our life cannot thrive in a state of dissonance and confusion. It puts us in a survival modality of living and that prohibits us from realizing the full potential of our destiny, and the abundance of joy that could be experienced. How do we rise above this state of dissonance and discord in our lives?

The first thing I would suggest is to acknowledge the presence and draw that confusion and dissonance can have on our lives.

Secondly, call it out when you feel it or slip into its grasp.

Thirdly, take an inventory of where this discord is coming from and what or who is trying to engage you into stepping out of yourself and falling prey to this state of upset that impacts you physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Fourthly, you have to create a ritual of defense that can be used to circumvent the noise and drama that is trying to captivate your attention.

Take deep breaths! Close your eyes for a moment! Think of something that makes you smile and comfortable- at ease! Transfer your spirit being into another place that resides outside of the confusion and drama.

The more you practice your ritual, the more you will be able to instinctually remove yourself from situations and people that do not support your well-being. We have to work intentionally to keep our peace and live in harmony with ourselves, others and nature. We are worthy of a joy filled life to balance out the dissonance that will come our way naturally.

Peace Be Still!   Surround yourself with “Light”!  Be the “Light” you are seeking.  Let Nothing, No one or any circumstance in life dim or diminish your “Light”!  That Inner “Light “ is the essence of your soul!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!
