Tiny Tips 4 Moms and Dads #33-“Teaching Children the Value and Reasoning Behind Speaking the Truth!”

Tiny Tips for Moms and Dads#33

I love it when they are being their authentic selves!

Teaching Children the Value and Reasoning Behind Speaking the Truth and Holding On To Their Truth as a Sacred Element of their Divine Identity

Children come into this realm with the real divine truth that is grounded in their intuition.

I don’t know if you can reach back to the memory base of your childhood to rekindle the information that you had from your conceptual development.  The knowledge of universal truths that were ingrained in your “Divine Identity”- your beautiful authentic human form that we know is comprised of so many dimensions.  Incapsulated in “Who” you are carries with it a spiritual dimension that is comprised of all the truths of our human design.  It is carried from the infusion of our complex DNA, that is not by chance but by design.  We are in fact more than what can be seen and expressed on a physical plane.

If our parents were aware of what we carried from our birth, I think they would value the importance of the “welcoming committee”.  In many of our indigenous cultures, there is an actual gathering of the family and community, at the birth of a child in their “Beloved Village”. There is an anticipation of receiving gifts of truth, love, and validation, that the “Divine Spirit” has arrived and has come to bless humanity.

We then have the responsibility of acknowledging the truths that our children share with us, and to guide, protect, and nurture the relevance and purpose of “their truth”.  We must support them in holding on to “their truth”, in the face of all the challenges this world will throw at them.  We prepare them for the neigh Sayers and those that will fear the truth they profess.

We want to encourage them to be true to themselves in all situations in life.  We want them to be confident that what they bring to the world is of value and by design.  They must know their life has purpose through the “Truth” they carry.

Thank You Jim Brickman for your beautiful music that vibrates through this recording. This is a selection from his album – “Music to Quiet Your Mind and Sooth Your World”.

tiny Tips 4 Moms and Dads #32-“Awakening and Nurturing the Behavioral Characteristics in Your Child!”

Tiny Tips for Moms and Dads#32

Awakening and Nurturing the Behavioral Characteristics in Your Child that Will Serve them, Their Family, and Society as Well!

I believe the way in which we raise our children lays the foundation for much of who they are to become in life so that it is critical that we pay attention to their character development that is manifested in their behavior. It requires that we are intentional with guiding and nurturing.

It seems like there is a kind of theme being created in these “Tiny Tips for Moms and Dads”, and I do believe there is.  When you think of our responsibility as parents, a large part of what we are responsible for is nurturing, guiding, and disciplining our children.  This role that we take on as parents involves modeling and supporting what we know as adults will be most beneficial to the well-being, happiness, personal success, and health of our children as adults.

Let me interject that the term “discipline” is not something negative but is in fact derived from the word disciple -which means to follow.  That is therefore the act of modeling what is appropriate, good, wholesome, just, compassionate, truthful, loving, kind, and the ability to show grace and understanding to others.  It calls us as parents to work daily and sometimes what might seem tirelessly, to be our higher self. It is not only unrealistic to think that we can be our “highest selves” all the time, and it is important to assure our children that we don’t expect that of them in turn.

We show them that there are times we -as our elders use to say- “Are outside of ourselves”, and that we have to use the “re-set button” sometimes to “Come back to ourselves”.  We are not perfection, and we don’t expect that of our children.  We are merely trying to make sure that they have the tools they will need to be “Happy, Healthy, and Whole”, in their life.

This world that they are facing is not what we expected and as “Indigo” children, it is not what they dreamed for!  They will have challenges that will require that they are strong in their convictions, and that the principles of those convictions, will be grounded in what is ethical, moral, and just.  Stepping away from all the ideological chaos and distractions, we know on a deeper spiritual level, what is right and what is wrong.  We know what is just and unjust!  We know what is judgmental and what is not!  We know what is truth and what are bare face lies!

We have to show our children that the tool of discernment is a vital gift to protect them. We want them to be contributing members of society that will help in re-directing this world into the world that they had dreamed for.  Yes, we have work to do as parents, but it is so worth it!  In guiding our children through the maze of childhood, the side benefit for us is that we are also awakened to those behavioral characteristics that could serve us better.

Those aspects of ourselves that we allowed to be diminished by other people or circumstances in life.  This affords us the opportunity to be re-birthed into our own “divine identity” and as a result our children benefit from who we are in our authentic selves.

Thank You Jim Brickman for your beautiful music that vibrates through this recording. This is a selection from his album – “Music to Quiet Your Mind and Sooth Your World”.

Tiny Tips 4 Moms and Dads #31-“Guiding Children into Becoming Compassionate Human Beings!”

Tiny Tips for Moms and Dads#31

Guiding Children into Becoming Compassionate Human Beings!

Teaching and modeling compassion for our children is a critical element of parenting and it is a critical social emotional development to express in the sustainability of humanity.

It is so interesting to see children express compassion for other children.  I witnessed it so many times on the playground in Pre-school, when a child would fall and hurt themselves and then all of a sudden be surrounded by their fellow playmates.  It is amazing how children respond to be attended to be their peers.

I have been fortunate enough to witness it between the siblings in our family, actually from childhood throughout our adulthood.  I believe that once it is recognized and nurtured, it can be a lifetime characteristic that is expressed throughout a person’s life.  This ability to be concerned and empathetic to the conditions of others is definitely, by today’s human relations scale the elevation of an “evolved human being.  We want this for our children.  We want them to authentically and genuinely express compassion for others when it is called for.  We want for our children to receive compassion from other people when they are in need of being cared for by others.

We want our children to know how to have a balance being compassionate and at the same time make sure they take care of themselves and are not being emotionally drained. We want them to be okay with taking personal responsibility for any of their actions that might have caused another person to be hurt either physically or emotionally.  Processing through the situation will hopefully help our children understand what it feels like to be hurtful and acknowledge that they don’t want to feel pain and distress inflicted by others in turn.

I feel it is important to genuinely apologies for negative behavior inflicted on another person.  So yes-it is important to say – “I’m sorry” and the child actually mean it.  As a child however, compassion has to be nurtured and guided into manifestation.  Knowing the general intuitive nature of children, I know that they naturally gravitate toward being compassionate.

We just have to support them in learning when and how to demonstrate it.  I find that play time with their peers affords lots of opportunities for “teaching moments”!  More opportunities for us to be observant and knowing when and how to intercede.  Gently and non-aggressive in texture works most profoundly!  There will also be lots of trial and errors to figure out what works with each child.

Parenting Tips:

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize how intricately you are connected to this life that has been brought on to this planet that has its own unique and “Divined Identity” and “Divined Purpose. May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are your journey through parenthood, and what you are not only gifting humanity, but how the life of your child is a blessing to you, and how you are a blessing to your child.

Aspiring To Live Our Best Self and Best Life Blogs in Diverse Languages I'm just Sayin Spiritual Observations of Gratitude spirituality

I’m Just Sayin #185-Who am I? It’s About Finding the Real Me!

“Great Spirit” designed us and created us in “Divine Perfection”.
From the top of our head to the tip of our toes, inside out, through and through.
We come to this world knowing “Who we are”
and the world tries to strip us of it!
So, it is part of our life’s journey to re-discover “Who we are” so we will know where we must go and what we must do in our “Divine Identity”!

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

Have you ever taken out the time to ask yourself if not at least once in your life, periodically, “Who am I?” I will be honest when I say I really have not given much thought to asking myself in relationship to my own personal “Divine identity”!  As far as I have gotten to asking that question is asking and reflecting on “Who I am in the Lives of Children”!   I realize that recognizing my personal life’s purpose is critical in living out our “Divine Purpose”, but in order to be complete in our being we also have to be in touch with “Who we are as unique divine emanations of “Great Spirit”!  That is the true essence of who we are and how we move through the world.  It is more than important, it is critical that we seek to find and understand “Who we are “, so that we live in a place of integrity and honesty with our selves.

We must be free of who people try to perceive who we are!  We must be free from expectations of who people want us to be.  The real me and the real you must be upfront and illuminate in every cell in our body.  There must be no misconceptions!  We must stand in the truth of who we are and be glad in it.  After all, we were designed by the greatest artist and creator in all the universes.  We were made in spiritual perfection!  There were no flaws in us when He molded us into the being that brought Him joy and a sense of accomplishment.  If you have had the experienced the joy that fills your heart to a point of bursting wide open at the birth of your child, then you have just a peak at what “Great Spirit” experiences every time He designs and creates one of us!  He knows us, loves us for us, and when we connect with our essential divine identities, He rejoices.  I’ll say it for Him- He is so proud of His handy work!!

I would like to invite you to go to YouTube and look for Wyn Stark, who performed is original song-

“Wyn Starks – “Who I Am”.

I feel this young man is doing the “work”!  I invite us to take up the challenge ourselves!  I am!!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

Tiny Tips 4 Moms and Dads #30-“Waste Not, Want Not – Gratitude and Appreciation for Our Blessings!”

Tiny Tips for Moms and Dads#30. Waste Not, Want Not – Gratitude and Appreciation for Our Blessings.  Our Children are Our Greatest Blessing!

Children are appreciative for the simple things in life!

Teaching our children to appreciate the blessings in their life is a daily lesson and opportunity to nurture the greatest character trait that will enrich the texture and context of their life.

The important thing to remember about parenting that will set the stage or foundation of our lifetime relationship with our children is realizing and practicing the communication tool that will last and be effective across the lifeline of our engagement with them.  We can not just lecture them into submission or attachment to what it is we are trying to communicate to them.  We have to create and nurture a special way to engage with our child so that it is safe, secure, and sacred.  It is a way to impart to them the essence and importance of the wee wisdoms we have to share with them.  Showing gratitude and appreciation for the blessings in our lives, gives life a richness that permeates every aspect of our life.

We want that for our children.  We want them to know what it feels like to be appreciated when they have done acts of kindness as well.  We want to also show our children how they can be creative in recycling our blessings to bless other people.  This might involve showing them how to share some of what they have with others.  It does not hurt to teach them that words like “thank you” and “you are welcome”, are still appropriate and significant in character development.

Remember-Gratitude affects Attitude which in return determines our Altitude!

I’m Just Sayin- #183-Be Advised: We have absolutely no control over other people’s characteristics and behavior!-Voiced

Good News:
I have learned from living a lot of “Life”, that people are who they are, and we really do not have the authority or responsibility to try to re-create them!

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

I don’t know exactly what possess us in our nature that we feel we have to re-create or re-design who a person is!  We always come up with the excuse that it is “for their own good”, but I think that is a little bounteous and egotistical of us.  After all, the original “SC” – “Supreme Creator”, – “Great Spirit”, did not ask for our input when He was in His space of “Creativity” and came up with the design of each of us.

From what I understand, each of us are perfection in our creation.  Circumstances of life impacts many aspects of our behavior, but the original design is always there and accessible to us.

The most amazing element that is present in each of us is the gift of free will and determination wrapped up in discernment, if we choose to use it in making our life decisions.  Bottom line is that we are free to make our own decisions of how we want to conduct our life, and who we want to be in the world.  Our behavior, character development, and basic attitude is either in our best interest or not.  I know that it can be quite detrimental or annoying when we have to engage with people who have lost sight or memory of their “Divine Design” and lash out with a personage that is unlikeable or even offensive and destructive to our well-being.

When someone is in that time and space in their life, the best thing to do is to take cover and give them the space to work through their life’s lesson.  After all, it is not your life’s lesson in the primary position, although it might be your lesson in the observation position.  In which case, observe, record in your cognitive core, and check off-lesson learned.

We all have our own lessons to learn, and we really don’t have the time and space to be trying to take on other people’s lessons too.  All of this does not mean we don’t support each other and perhaps share our observations with them, but we are not qualified to remodel and try to re-structure them.  Not our job!  Let it be and be free! Gotta put everybody in “Great Spirit’s” hands!!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

I’m Just Sayin-Notes from Beth #182-The Only Way to Have a Better Future is to Live in the Present- It’s a Present!  Voiced

We have to be present in our life if we are to be able to fully experience our “Divine Journey”.

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

It’s always a bit of a balancing act to be able to be fully present in the here and now because we are so torn and drawn to so many different aspects of our life that are pulling at us at the same time.  If you are a mom, it is more than just a balancing act, it can be multi-tasking on serval planes at one time.  Everyone and everything needs your undivided attention at one time. You can’t dare put anyone or anything aside, because after all you are “the mom”. There is so much that you have no choice in doing or putting aside for later.

We all live these unbelievable lives that are so full and task oriented, that it is a special rare time when we can actually be present in a singular moment of our life.  I cannot express however, how important it is for us to come to an understanding that it is imperative for us to begin to put this- “Being in the moment”, seriously.

We cannot afford to miss moments in our life that contain the beauty and joy-even grief- that pull the essence of our life into the forefront of our existence.  Each precious moment of an event, experience, engagement with another human being, or the nuisances that nature provides are relevant to our “Life’s Divine Journey”.  Nothing is by chance!  I know I say this a lot, but it is true.

I have some of the most wonderful memories of moments I shared with my child from infancy through our adult relationship.  There are moments with my siblings that I will always cherish!  Moments with my parents and grandparents, that gave me important context to my life and identity, because I had those uninterrupted, concentrated moments of shared experiences with them.  I am so blessed to being given those moments with our grandchildren that my sister and niece so graciously share with me. I am blessed for my two nieces who share so unselfishly with me the beauty of their lives an I pray that I am a blessing in theirs.

Children carry such a pure, clear, and uncomplicated light that illuminates pure joy, peace, and contentment. Take charge of your life and be in the moments of your life! The untold secret of all of this is, that the voids that we sometime feel in our life, are the missing  moments that we would experience if we were present in our life.  So instead of thinking that it is things or stuff, it is our spiritual attention to the details of our life that fills those voids.

The outcome of practicing this ritual of “Being present in our Life”, is that by doing this we are creating a beautiful future for ourselves, and that in itself is a ‘Present”! So the summary of all of this reflection is, “Living in the Present is a Present from  the Presence, because when we are in the Present, we are engaging with the “Presence”!

Ashe, Ashe, Ashe!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!

I’m Just Sayin-#181 Sometimes it’s More Productive to “Shower People with Kindness”, then to be Combative!

Stay close to the shoreline where lies your place of peace, happiness and contentment in life!  Don’t let other people’s need to “Control” and “Be Right”, take you out of yourself and plunge you into their “drama”.

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

Listen! Trust me! I have lived long enough to know that trying to persuade people to understand your point of view, or your opinion on how to do something, or trying to convince them that something is not in their best interest, takes a lot of time and energy that could better serve the quality and joy of your own life.  Thinking that people actually hear what you are saying is also an interesting perception because as a speech major, a hundred years ago, I learned that there is always something missing in translation, even when we speak the same language.

We are not really tuned into another person’s thoughts and interpretation of the experiences they have in life that ultimately color and structure how they process what they “think they heard us say”!  Communication -language- is probably the most difficult and frustrating function of the human design.

I dare say, God has probably improved His second generation – specie of what He has created since us!! I know He has been more frustrated than us, on how limited we are in communicating and responding to each other in a civil and productive way. I just know we have blown His mind! So, on that note, I strongly suggest that we develop the practice of merely expressing our thoughts, feelings, and opinions, and then step back and let people do with the information as they please.

The other part of that is to remember to come to people with a genuine character of kindness and respect.  If we come at people instead of to people, we have already defined the construct of how the line of communication is going to be received. It is never healthy for us to have to take our “Spirit” to a place of being combative and argumentative.  A conversation of exchanging ideas and feelings where it is done in alignment with our “soul expression”, keeps us out of confusion and discord.

It sets the stage of engagement in a respectful nature where the other person has the opportunity of responding positively and cordially.  Who wants to battle?  I don’t!! I always remember my mother saying, “kindness goes a lot further than ugliness”!  Think about how this approach might be another element of “Freedom”!

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Tiny Tips for Moms and Dads#29

Teaching Children that Their Ideas and Opinions Matter and So Do the Ideas and Opinions of Others

This mutual respect for engaging with other children or people begins with what we model as parents in our interactions with our children and the adults in our life.

This is a lifelong skill that is needed in ever relationship we engage in.  It can be a crucial factor that can make the difference in whether or not communication, respect, and the sustainability of a relationship endures or not.  People want to not only be listened to, but they want to be heard and valued for what they contribute in expressing their thoughts and perspectives while engaged in a discourse-conversation-or settling and resolving a situation.  We of course do not necessarily have to agree with each other but at the very least, we need to be respectful enough and secure enough, that we give others an opportunity to also be in full expression of their thoughts in a genuinely compassionate way.

I know parents get tired of me saying that they have to model this kind of behavior-trait with their children, but if not the parent, then who are we leaving this “Heart2SoulParenting” to? We cannot leave developing this important skill sets-character traits, to other people that by chance they get it in school, etc. We have to find creative opportunities to take advantage of, to bring this skill their attention and nurture it’s development.

One skill supports the development of another.  When our children are confident and have an ego that is working on a healthy balance, they can receive this skill of valuing their ideas and opinions and at the same time valuing other people’s.  We must find those teaching moments to bring it into their consciousness and support their understanding of how it is important.  We don’t talk at them but engage them in conversational questions so that what comes through comes from within them and not from us.  They need to be able to feel it, experience it,  internalize it and practice it!

What excites me about this is that if our children learn this and utilize this skill or character trait in their childhood, who will they be as adults and how can they impact the world that they inherit from us.  They will be the change makers! Trust me! The development of a child’s social-emotional intelligence is the foundation of every other domain that we currently give more value and importance to.   Start nurturing and guiding the essence of who they are and who they have the potential to be as “human beings”, and you will be giving the most profound gift a parent can give their child!

Our Sunday Morning Prayers-#92 Empathy is the Saving Grace for Our Humanity-Voiced

Children’s hearts are so open and receptive that empathy resides in their souls, we just have to nurture what already exist within them
by demonstrating it in our own life experiences.

***For translation of the text of the blog: touch the Blue Globe on the top right-hand corner.

Our Mantra and Prayer for today on – Empathy:

Open my eyes that I may see, visions of what humanity can be. Rise up in me oh empathy, so I can be a part of the miracle that awakening can be. Let my heart be open to those in need so that the extension of my empathy illuminates the agape love that our humanity yearns for.

A word, a gentle touch, a smile that lays effortlessly on my face, and sometimes just an ear to hear the concerns of other people.  it does not take away from us to be available and accessible to other people, in fact it enhances our own quality of life that shields us from falling into the traps of ego, judgment, and societal “isms”.

Everyone in some season of their life will need kind acts of empathy! I can’t imagine how much more functional and compassionate our world would be if only we had evolved enough to realize that in order to sustain a just and ethical society that it had to be entrenched with the ability for us to show concern and empathy for one another.  Often people will say I am a sympathism towards other people.  Well, there is a difference in being able to hold a space of empathy for people and showing sympathy for people!

Empathy is a sacred presence.  It is when you don’t simply see a person’s pain, but you feel their pain.  Having empathy for someone’s pain and circumstances of life calls you to walk into the depth of their sorrow, their joy, their fear without needing to fix it or say platitudes.  Empathy is non-judgmental.  Sympathy is not void of compassion but is sometimes keeps emotional boundaries for self-protection.  It often will offer help and to comfort but it can have a tendency to be more aloft from the person’s pain.  It can also be more, opinionated.

This morning, I am praying for hearts of empathy for all the marginalized and families dealing with deportation from a country they thought would be able to empathize with their need for shelter from the circumstances that have threatened their very existence.

So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression.  May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.

Ashé! Have a Blessed Day!
