He has risen, will you?

What a price to pay so that we might be free to be our highest self.

The Significance of Easter:As I rise this morning thousands of years have passed since my Lord and Savior rose from the dead! I asked myself, “How could it be that this event still be if importance to so many people across the face of the earth, that we still celebrate Christ pushing away the stone that encased his physical body from a tomb, and gave rise to a spiritual body that still lives in all of us today, whether we believe He does or not”! It is merely a choice of whether or not we choose to release that Christ spirit or not! The significance of His death and then His resurrection is to remind all of us that we have choices in life! We can chose what significance we want the gift of our individual lives to be for ourself as individuals and what we want it to be for the collective “humanity”!

We still have time in our favor to chose:

Justice or to perpetuate injustice!

Love or hate!

Peace or war!

Greed or gratitude!

Joy or pain!

Compassion or indifference!

Respect or disrespect!

Inclusion or judgement!

Selflessness or selfishness!

The sacrifice He made was the ultimate one that He did for humanity as a whole, not just for Christians or Jews! Not for only believers of His story that God endowed Him with, but for all of God’s children, because in the eyes of God there is no distinction between men, women and children! In the eyes of God there is no distinction between one religious faith and the “other”! In the eyes of God there is one race, one world and one purpose, and that is to give us another Easter to celebrate another opportunity to recognize who we are, and what He is still holding for us in the depths of His soul to enrich our lives and bring us out of the darkness of death that we cling to, into the eternal light of love and wholeness that He as a parent dreams for His children!

Take hold of this Easter morning to have a renewal of our soul’s purpose and who we can be in and for the world to fulfill God’s divine intention for all His children!

Happy Easter! He has risen, will you!

Just-

Inclusion Not Part of The Plan!

Inclusion Not Part of The Plan!

I do so love my Hallmark stations and I am always suggesting to my nephew that he consider trying out for parts in some of their mystery shows. I just love to turn on my tv late a night and watch the women’s mysteries! Of course “Murder She Wrote” is my favorite and I have watched them all several times!! But tonight it hit me so hard that people of color have very few roles and if they do the roles are insignificant parts in all the programming! What a disappointment to realize that young talented actors like my nephew would never fit into their concept of casting.

It seems to me since the production of “Hamilton”, the door to opening up parts to actors according to their talent and not according to the color of their skin makes for a new frontier of casting and would enhanced our world of entertainment! I have to share my feeling publicly and then I have to decide on what steps I can take to bring this situation to the Hallmark productions attention! My success will impact my decision on whether or not to continue supporting their channels!

And the Little Children Will Lead Them!

a96a2491-088f-4a43-bc16-1a5efa6ea65eAnd the Little Children Will Lead Them!

Out of the mouths of babes! I really don’t think adults realize just how traumatized children are with the loss of the Obama family in the White House to guide and protect us! My 4 year old (God) grandson- really my sister Patty’s grandchild but we share the family rights to him😊, has been very verbally concerned about the state of our governmental affairs. First of all, his social, emotional and cognitive maturity is off the charts!! Examples of statements he has made since President has left office:

“I don’t think he should leave us!”

“Can you please get President Obama’s phone number for me because I need to tell ( not ask) him to come back and take care of us! I might add that he has had a love affair with President Obama from the age of 2.

“President Obama is a good man because he knows Jesus and he needs to ask Jesus to talk to Trump because Trump is not listening to Jesus!”

There is so much more for me to share because the subject of Trump and Obama is part of his daily conversation.

Well yesterday while shopping in Target he spied the Essence magazine with Obama and Michelle’s picture on the cover. Oh my goodness you would have thought that he found a Ninja Turtle magazine( his next favorite characters) and he called out, “Look , look, look what I found!” It’s President Obama and Mrs. Obama!

I have to have this!! ” Well that night when he went to bed he sat up and went through every page with a comment for each page. Then when he finished the magazine from cover to cover he said, “This is the best book in the whole world and I am just going to put it under my pillow so the tooth fairy can read it to!” The he asked me if I thought the tooth fairy would come tonight and I had to to tell him “Not tonight Celio cause the tooth fairy only comes when we loose a tooth!” And he drifted off to sleep with the magazine under his pillow!” God bless our children Lord, and keep them safe! Please recreate this world into the divine place you intended it to be so that the fullness of love, joy and peace that you have endowed us with through the creation of children might infect this course of history and put you back in the drivers seat!!!

House Bill 610 – We Must Vote No!!!

Bill 610- All our children deserve a quality education balanced and equitable to their divine birth rights! The diversity of our public-school institutions breeds multi-cultural, different economic experiences and accountability not only for a quality education but a safe place for children to grow and develop. Parents and teachers just need more support in terms of curriculum that is age, content, and social relevancy so that the team-administrators/consultants/ teachers/ parents and students have a viable collaborative relationship in designing and implementing “hands on”, interactive, student-centered programs.

House Bill 610 has been introduced. This bill will effectively start the school voucher system to be used by children ages 5-17 and starts the defunding process of public schools. The bill will eliminate the Elementary and Education Act (ESSA) of 1965, which is the nation’s educational law and provides equal opportunity in education.  ESSA is a comprehensive program that covers programs for struggling learners, AP classes, ESL classes, classes for minorities such as Native Americans, Rural Education, Education for the Homeless, School Safety (Gun-Free schools), Monitoring and Compliance and Federal Accountability Programs. House Bill 610 would also abolish the Nutritional Act of 2012 (No Hungry Kids Act) which provides nutritional standards in school breakfast and lunch. For our most vulnerable, this may be the ONLY nutritious food they have in a day. The bill has no wording whatsoever protecting special needs kids, no mention of IDEA and FAPE.

Some things ESSA does for Children with Disabilities-Ensures access to the general education curriculum.-Ensures access to accommodations on assessments.-Ensures concepts of Universal Design for Learning-Includes provisions that require local education agencies to provide evidence-based interventions in schools with consistently underperforming subgroups.-Requires states in Title I plans to address how they will improve conditions for learning including reducing incidents of bullying and harassment in schools, overuse of discipline practices and reduce the use of aversive behavioral interventions (such as restraints and seclusion). Please call your representative and ask him/her to vote NO on House Bill 610 (HR 610).PLEASE copy and paste, don’t just share.

Simple Elements on How to Create a Beautiful World!

📌 Dalai Lama QuotesOn February 25, 2014 I had the pleasure and honor of hearing the Dalai Lama share his wisdom with us on what we need to be in the world. These are my reflections to his wisdom.

Date: February 25, 2014

Subject: Dalai Lama Quotes

1. Be kind whenever possible.

1. a. (Beth Evans adds: This involves practicing being your highest self which is a life long discipline and promotes mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being.)

2. In the practice of tolerance one’s enemy is the best teacher.

2a. ( I have an aversion to the word tolerance as being a misfit in terms of the divinity of the human design. I think that compassion for those that live in a space that is not their highest expression and puts them at odds with other fellow “human beings” requires us to step away from fear and judgement and respond with compassion and to hold an intention for them that they release their fear and sense of “not being enough” and embrace the fullness of being loved and accepted for who they have the potential of showing up as”. This is the practice of “allowing”.
3. Love and compassion are necessities not luxuries, without them humanity cannot survive.

3a. (Beth Evans adds: Cultivating humanity in ourselves and supporting it in the growth and development of others is really our divine purpose. The tools of love and compassion not only support humanity on a global level, but leads to a happy and enriched life for those that utilize these tools on a daily basis!)
4. We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.

4a. Beth Evans adds: Peace is a state of mind that wells up inside of us and gives us the ability to live in the present

5. In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision. When we carry a positive attitude and identity, we create a positive environment and responses with infinite possibilities for goodness.
6. I am just one human being.

6. a. (Beth Evans adds: But imagine that your potential to create beauty, love, joy, peace, justice, compassion, and live a life of integrity is only defined by what you can imagine and commit to manifesting-you could positively impact the world and fulfill your divine purpose!)
7. The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness. We are born into this world as “goodness”  being the identity of our souls. Our roots grow deep throughout  our lives.
8. Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can’t help them at least don’t hurt them.
9. If you want others to be happy practice compassion. If you want to be happy practice compassion. You must first be compassionate and gentle with yourself in order to know how to be compassionate and gentle with others.
10. The best way to resolve any problem in the human world is for all sides to sit down and talk.

10. a. (Beth Evans adds: The art of talking or communicating involves listening attentively with an open and receptive mind. The art of communicating successfully is one of the greatest gifts in the human design. Once activated respect, understanding and compromise come into play which promotes resolution and positive relationships.
11. When you practice gratefulness there is a sense of respect toward others. We must live our lives from a place of gratitude in order to see the blessings we have received.

Teachers and Parents- Beware of Bullying! Teaching Children to Love and Respect Each Other-

It starts with being loved and respected by your parents.

Teachers and Parents-Beware of Bullying! Teaching Children to Love and Respect Each Other-

Teaching and Parenting: Bullying-What is our responsibility as teachers and parents?

This Early Childhood period of development is critical in so many areas of development! It is the only time in a child’s educational experience that there is a conscious and intentional decision to provide children with a curriculum that embraces teaching a child what it is to be a whole, healthy, happy socially and emotionally sound human being! We must teach compassion, empathy, inclusiveness, acceptance, love and generosity of spirit. We must teach cause and effect! We must teach responsibility for our actions. We must teach remorse for negatively impacting another person thru teaching empathy. We are as parents, teachers, and extended family and friends influencing and imprinting on the soul development of our children! Who do we hold a sacred space for them to show up as in their life as adults in this challenging world? Will they have the tools and character to be contributing members of society or are we setting them up for failure and pain because they are lost to us and their divine calling? We have work to do!

Children- What a mere after-thought? An evolving society that has not tapped into their “Soul Space”

Mothers and Fathers know that Children cannot be anyone’s “After Thought”.

Children- What a Mere After-Thought? An Evolving Society That has Not Tapped into Their “Soul Space”.

I am so disturbed to witness that adults can abuse children, be arrested and then allowed to make bail.  Did you see the news report about the twin toddlers that were abused by their Nanny?  Apparently the older sibling told his Mother that the nanny was being mean to them and so she set up a camera and recorded and witnessed the Nanny abusing her children.  This nanny was recommended by a very well know child care referral business.  It really goes beyond the usual criminal background check.  We have to have psychological background checks for all of those adults that are in service to children and youth.  When are we going to make children a priority?

When are we going to take a stand and demand that the care and education of our children must be a high priority to us as parents, educators, social workers, physicians, politicians, and all of us as a so-called “civilized society”.  Think of the things we have accomplished in terms of technology and yet and still we can’t evolve to a state of consciousness that promotes an earnest concern and action to care for our most valuable and precious resources “our children and youth”. We have to wake up before we as a civilization cease to function with any purpose or value. Our children are our opportunity if we invest in them and protect them, to actually fulfill our purpose – enriching the state of humanity.

“I Realize that I’ve Been Given the Gift to be Your Parent and as Your Parent I Realize this is a Life-Time Commitment!

It is just about loving and caring for each other unconditionally!

Quote:
Elizabeth Stone once said:
Making the decision to have a child – it’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body.

What do I mean when I say that my child is a gift in my life?

Let me start by defining the word “gift” in terms of the Webster’s Dictionary so that while we are engaged in this conversation we have the same understanding. According to the definition “gift” means: That which is given; a natural endowment.
Perhaps the most amazing perception of our relationship with our children is that we must see parenting as a being given a gift. It is not something to take lightly. It is absolutely a divine interaction on the part of “Great Spirit”. Sometimes we are very intentional in our desire to be parents and we make all kind of promises if we are blessed with a child. I can remember every conversation I had with God about my yearning to have the honor to bring life into this world. I prayed for the chance to be a mother. I prayed for the opportunity for my husband to have the experience of being a father. All of my life I felt that I was ordained to be a nurturer. My life’s purpose was engulfed in being with children so that I could make a difference in the quality of their lives. I promised God that if he gave me a child, I would give that child back to Him. This is a covenant that cannot be broken. Think about the gift you have been given or the gift you want to accept as a parent in “waiting”.
