Ancient & Cultural Beliefs About Clouds
This first week we look back on our historical relationship with the “Messages from the Clouds”, as well as the significance of the cloud messages on our cultural values and belief systems.

Looking back at the Greek & Roman Traditions- (Divine Signs)
In Ancient Greece and Rome, the sighting of clouds was often seen as expressions of the “Gods” Will. Zeus and Jupiter were essentially considered to be the “Supreme Sky Fathers. They ruled the sky so cloud formations, storms, or unusual patterns were interpretated as messages, warnings, or the presence of the “Gods”. Zeus was described as the “King of Gods” and as ruler of Mount Olympus he was the God of the sky, thunder, lightning, law, justice and order.
The Greeks saw Zeus as both a force of nature and the guardian of morality and social order. It is interesting to know that across many ancient traditions sky gods like Zeus and Jupiter symbolized elements of what we are still trying to deal with such as –“Divine Authority”, “Cosmic Order”, “The Power of Nature”, “Protection and Judgment”, “Humanity’s attempt to understand forces greater than themselves”, “And the Acknowledgement of the Balance of the Equality of the Masculine and Famine Energy and Identity”. Priest and observers sometimes read the sky alongside of other omens to interpret the messages.
There is more to this than meets the eye and delving into this series I find it fascinating to see the tread between mythology, planets, days of the week, which was our last series, and spiritual symbolism. There are patterns and interlocking significance in what “Spirit” is unfolding to us. The concepts of expansion, wisdom, law and authority, discernment and insight, and spiritual endowment, are all interwoven in this timely era of seeking truth and feeding our soul’s evolution.
Remember- “That we are never separate from the sky above us, only invited to notice.”

What does it remind you of?
If you feel it was speaking to you, what did it say?
How can you integrate this experience into the texture and context of your daily life?
Does it offer you an answer to something you have been searching for?
Do you get a sense that you are connected to the “Divine”, as you gaze at those clouds in the sky, and that making a sacred space to be in that Presence is giving you a peace, and filling you with love and compassion?
So, breathe deeply! Close your eyes and visualize something that brings you back into homeostasis with your soul expression. May today bring you a sense of peace, joy, and moments of feeling loved and validated for who you are and what you are gifting humanity.
