Children are the greatest gift to humanity.

You must be joy filled.

I know that with all that is transpiring in the world and in our individual countries, we are at a point that we realize that being involved and supportive of our teachers and the educational system that they are navigating and learning in is critical.  We have to come to the understanding that the people that are teaching, guiding and nurturing our children in a brick and mortar institution, are not only human in their design, but are also trying to navigate their own personal life and the life challenges they encounter on a daily basis, but teachers and administrators are also trying the navigate the expectations of an archaic system that is not child centered.  Life wears on all of us and teachers are no different.  It is interesting to recognize and acknowledge that just like a child’s relationship with parents, children know when a teacher is not happy and is struggling to balance their emotions so that it does not make a child feel unsafe or uncared for. 

There is a unique relationship between a child and their teacher. It is important for the initial connection be established with love, respect, compassion, devotion and commitment.  Children are realistic, more so than what we give them credit for.  They know that we are not going to be happy 24/7 and they are in their own way intuitive and attentive way going to be responsive to where we are emotionally and physically.  They love it when teachers can share their joy and excitement about what is transpiring in the learning environment and curriculum.  The joy is contagious and makes them feel that we as teachers are in tune with their wants and needs and are invested in the second most important place and part of their day. I always tell my student teachers that it is important to take care of their mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. It is important for teachers to take “Care for Self-Days”, when they know that they are not able to be balanced and healthy with the children that are in their care.  Parents have to practice ethe same modality in their parenting.  None of us can be on 24/7 so we have to construct times and ways to give ourselves a “Time In”!  A time when we remove ourselves from our routine and “go within” and re-capture our peace and composure.  I use the “Time In” not the “Time Out” method with children, because I feel that when they are out of balance, they are asking for a time to be connected not disconnected with someone that “Sees Them”!  

It is so important and healthy for us to seek the people, things, and experiences that support and sustains the “Joy” that lies within our soul’s expression.  Our “Joy” is created by us and is housed in our “Soul”!  We are responsible for protecting our “Joy” from anyone, anything, or circumstance in life that tries to “Rain on our parade or cast shadows on our sunlight”!  We all have times when we will feel pain and be stressed, but the key to being “Joy Filled”, is to only allow those emotions to pass through us and to not allow those feelings to take up residence in our “Soul’s expression.  WE all deserve “Joy” and to be able to be chosen to serve children, or to be their parent, we must let our “Joy” bring light and love into their lives.

Today we are celebrating and acknowledging the life and “work” of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. There is a lot of activity today across our nation and even in other countries that have subscribed to the principles of his “Life’s work”.  what we must realize is that as others did who worked side by side with him, is that we are intricately connected to his work.  It is about bringing to mankind’s consciousness that equity, racial, religious, political justice, is the core element of a functional humanity. 

We cannot live in isolation from one another.  We cannot think we are immune to the critical issues that people in this country and globally are facing every day. We must be truthful that being connected to the conditions of humankind and the other species that we share this planet with is now more critical than it might ever have been. We don’t have the latitude of just passing the responsibility on to others. Each of us are born with an ingredient that is like an invisible umbilical core that connects us spiritually to each other.  It shows up as love, compassion, empathy, and understanding.  Sometimes these ingredients are stifled, buried, or tainted by our life experiences but we can always regain these elements when we are awakened to the relevance they play even in our own existence.  So today I say my friends,” Wake UP”! Let us, each of us look within our souls and recapture the essence of this important ingredient that connects us to the core of our humanity.  We can with this level of consciousness change the whole texture and conditions that are plaguing and dissembling our world. 

I know emphatically that the world is nowhere near the “Dream” Dr. King had for our humanity! He was a man that ascribed to the principles of –

Peace

Love-unconditionally without judgment

Compass

Justice

Integrity

Ethics

Righteousness

Inclusion

Equity

“My Brother’s Keeper”

Care for the poor and underrepresented.

He did not expect us to be a world engaged in 23 wars.

He did not expect that there would be 582,000 people in the United States that were homeless living on our city streets.

He didn’t expect that there would be over 1 billion homeless people world wide.

He did not expect Affirmative Action to be dismantled and trampled on when it opened the doors for inclusion of all the disenfranchised to have an opportunity to compete and strive for success in their lives.

He didn’t expect Roe vs Wade to be torn apart and destroyed. He would never dream that women would lose the right to make decisions that impacted their body and health.

He didn’t expect that immigrants in droves would have to leave their homelands to risk their lives to find freedom. shelter, and escape death.

He didn’t expect all the “isms”, entrenched in hatred would infuse itself into every aspect of our humanity and tear it apart. 

He didn’t expect our educational systems across this nation would fail our students in developing students that are prepared for the world they have inherited. He did not think that teachers would still be de-valued and not earn a living wage.

He didn’t expect us in this country to still be stuck on providing universal health care for all the citizens in this country.

He never dreamed that we still are fighting for gun reform and that there were 42 mass shootings in the US in 2022. He never dreamed that as a result we would have kids going into schools and killing other kids and educators and consequently many times end up killing themselves.

He never dreamed that in the year 2024 we are still trying to figure out how to accept people’s choice of sexual identity.

He never dreamed that we still have not figured out how to not only cure Cancer but prevent Cancer, but we spin our wheels and finance reaching for the stars and other planets as a priority.

He never dreamed that we would not be fighting Climate control and saving our planet so that we could give our children a sustainable planet to live in.

He never dreamed that families would be in such a dysfunctional state of being that society and its chaos would have more of an influence over our kids and children then parents and the community that is called to be part of a child’s life. 

Dr. King’s dream is still alive in the “Spirit World”, and for many of us in the earthly world, we are trying to keep the context, content and fabric of his dream alive in the work that we are doing.  We need to take hold of his “Dream” and embellish and expand it to turn this world around till it is back on its axis and the “Dream” becomes a reality- a way of life- a given for our behavior and interactions with one another.  We can and we do have the power to put the “Dream” in action. The groundwork was done!  The sacrifices were made! It is up to you and me! It is an “US” thing! One challenge at a time!

We must make sure that our children know the history of the people that sacrificed their lives for us.  Yes, for us! If the stories are not infused in the history of this country, then we as parents, family members, and educators must take on the responsibility.  We have to go back to the old fashion culturally based ritual of “telling story”. If we don’t start sharing our “Truths”, our children will not be able to move forward and complete their individual “assignment”, that completes our forefathers’ dreams! 

Don’t worry Martin!  We see your dream and have awaken from our slumber!

Thoughts from My Soul to Your Heart

It always seems to amaze me and catch me off guard when I hear or read on social media platforms the negative and most disrespectful ways in which people express themselves to and about other people or situations.  It seems to be an acceptable and almost natural way no to engage with people.  The gentility and softness of the fabric of our “New World Order” that some of us are ascribing to, is not lifting and honoring the “human spirit” in any way.  It almost seems that for some people they are wearing this new badge of empowerment to degrade and belittle other people.  It is done to people that they don’t even know on a personal or even professional level.  It is just a blanket disregard for anything that resembles civility, and I even feel that it even tarnishes them respecting themselves on the process. 

It is disheartening to come to the realization that in our evolution we are not as a specie evolving spiritually, even though there are some of us that are trying desperately and intentionally to impact the world with what we know “Love” and “Humility of Spirit” can produce in our “Divine Soul Expressions”! 

We have the necessary ingredients in our “Being” to evolve constantly and consistently.  There has to be a willingness to balance the ego and allow others to be their authentic selves realizing there is no room for judgement or making anyone acquis to our will or our standards of “who they should be or if what they have or who they are of value. Mommy always said, “If you don’t have something kind to say, don’t say anything at all.  Keep your thoughts to yourself, that way you don’t hurt anyone but yourself!”

Hear Our Prayers “Great Spirit”
Day -6  English

Dear ‘Great Spirit”,

Today we prayer warrior come to you with love and concern for our humanity that is in the midst of the terror and devastation of the Los Angeles County fires. We are witnessing not only the loss of life and the homes of our fellow citizens, but the intentional chaos and disinformation that is blasting from people that are so engulfed in their own emotional instability caused by their pain bodies, that are adding to the chaos and disillusionment of the victims of this tragedy.  What we need now “Great Spirit” is your intervention in this situation that we have no control over.  The victims of this horrific challenge need your support.  They need to see a light at the end of the tunnel of this loss and grief. 

We realize that life is not always going to afford us perfection and a continual bliss void of any pain and loss, but these are the times that we need you the most.  WE need to know that our relationship with you brings us the comfort of you knowing what we need and that you are making a way to provide us with resources and faith we need to restore our lives when we are broken and distraught!  The victims of this destruction and loss need the presence of your Spirit that can bring them a sense of calm and assurance.  Fill their souls with a knowingness that all will be well!  Fill their souls with the strength that they will need to restore their lives.  Fill their souls with appreciation for the first responders, family, and friends that have come forth to support their lives.  Fill their souls with the feeling that they are never alone and forsaken but that you are in the midst of every aspect of their soul life, eternally. Fill their souls with love and a peace that surpasses all understanding. 

Hear our prayer “Great Spirit”- Hear our Prayer! Incline thy ear to us and grant us thy love and peace.

Tiny Tips for Moms and Dads- Ingredient #4

Children are the greatest gift to humanity.

What does it take and whom must you be to serve children as their teacher?

You must be intellectually prepared and committed to being a “lifelong learner”, because you understand that “there is always more truth and knowledge” to learn. You must understand that as you continue to learn and enhance your life, that it benefits not only you, but the lives of the children you are serving.

As an educator it is our responsibility to continue to learn and enhance our lives so that we grow in all areas of our life.  Who we are and what we know and have to share with children is a critical part of teaching and mentoring children.  If we have not engaged in activities that provide resources and content for our curriculum for children, then we are limiting and depriving children access to the wealth of knowledge the world has for them.  So many teachers and administrators experience “burn out”, because they resign themselves to believing that they don’t need to go back to school, travel, join interest groups, read for pleasure and challenge themselves to do things that are “out of the box” for them. 

We as educators and parents are role models for children.  If they see us enjoying reading and exploring the world as adventurers, they too want to explore and discover the treasures of the world.  By their very nature, children are curious and fearless.  They want to know the “why” of things!  They want to know how things work!  They need hands on experiences and time to venture into an environmental classroom or their outdoor classroom that provides a wealth of content that is age and cognitively appropriate for their age and or maturity.  We create the content and environments that support children’s growth in all 4 domains of their being.

 I know on a personal note that I committed myself to being a “lifelong learner”.  I pledged to always do things and venture into things that would expand my breath of knowledge about life and the world so that I would continue to be a resource in my writing and advocacy.  It is a major part of our human design to feed our brains and enhance the expressions of our souls.  Children deserve the best of who we are and who we can become so that we can guide them and nurture them in their “Life’s Divine Journey”.

As parents we have the responsibility of developing a relationship with the teachers of our children and supporting them and encouraging them to continue to learn and provide relevant and exciting curriculum for our children.  We can bring in resources for them to explore.  We can help to provide field trips, and I always had parents that formed a little in-house parent support group so that we always had resources beyond what the school offered the children.  Teachers need to know that we as parents are in collaboration with them in guiding, nurturing, and teaching our children.  It has to be a collaboration between home-school- and community.  Who better than the parents to solicit support for our schools than the parents that work and or reside in the school’s community.  Community investment in our schools, results in sustainability of quality of education. 

P.S.

I just want to add that this relationship with parents and their child’s school does not end when the child graduates from elementary school.  We as parents have to stay involved in our kid’s educational institutions from elementary school through high school.  Even when they go off to college, if there are opportunities for you to support your child’s college experience- games, parent events, or artistic events that they are in and you get invited to support them, show up!

Breaking News!! It’s A New Day!!! January 13th, 2025- Day 87. We March for Freedom!  We March for Justice! We March for Equality! We March Peace!  We March for Human Rights!    

Today is a day that “Great Spirit” has ordained for your life and soul expression.

Daily Mantra:

There is nothing you do not have the potential of accomplishing and manifesting that are the true desires of your heart.  We are each entitled to live a full, joy filled, and purposeful life.  Take hold of who your “divine identity” is, and your “divine life’s destiny plan and journey and will bless you and the world will be blessed.

Chat for the day: 

We are as women holding the feminine  energy of wisdom, intuition, tenacity, patience, leadership, strategists, holding sacred space, making a way out of no way, and the carriers of the sacred womb that holds the possibility of not only birthing humanity, but has the power of birthing a “New World Order” that is in alignment with who and what “Great Spirit” desires for us.  Now is the time that our ancestors are calling us to “Stand Up”, Speak UP, and Show Up, to support the birthing process of a world on earth as it is in heaven- the 5th dimensional vibration of a righteous and compassionate existence.  It is the “now time” for us as women to step into our “Divine Purpose” for which “Great Spirit” ordained us to be in the creation of this planet and our humanity.   

WE as women can no longer be indifferent, apathic, asleep in our lives, or simply so self-consumed that we are ignoring our responsibility and are shifting our sense of accountability to everyone else but ourselves. Every woman on this planet has a part to do in re-creating the reality of how we as human beings operate as a sustainable specie.  We can no longer hide our gifts under a bush and seek refuge by disconnecting from this magnificent life changing event that will have an eternal imprint on the fabric and context of humanity.  There are marches planned across the country from January 16th through January 18th, 2025, with the People’s march taking place on January 18th, 2025, the day before Trump’s Rally, and the Inauguration of the next person to take office of President of the United States, who holds the mark of being a felon. 

This could be the beginning of the demise of our ethics and integrity of our government.  We are not disillusioned because this criminal activity at the highest level of our government has served to awaken us women from our slumber and disconnect from our “Divine Purpose” as “Women of Compassionate Spirits”.  We realize that we are in “LABOR”, but we will birth a “Glorious New World Order” that will operate from a “Consciousness platform”!  “Steppin Up and Steppin In-that is how humanity will win”!

The principle to live by that will support our destiny path is: “Birthing a New World. “

Dear ‘Great Spirit”,

Today so many people and families are faced with the devastation of losing all their material holdings and in some cases their lives in this situation of being assaulted by natural disasters that we have consciously and unconsciously have by our lifestyle impacted the natural systems of nature.  Fires, earthquakes, tornadoes, droughts, and all the weather systems that have gone array.  Today we call out all the prayer warriors to protect us and supply the needs of those that are in the midst of these terrifying and destructive circumstances that our humanity is experiencing. 

We know that this is a season of birthing and purifying the planet and the chaotic conditions of our humanity that are not in alignment with where we should be, who we should be, and what we should be demonstrating and activating in our lives.  As we process the devastation of the fires in California, we thank all our prayer warriors in advance knowing that they are working on our behalf with all the Angeles, ancestors, and “Great Spirit”, to see us through this storm of fire. Hear our prayer “Great Spirit” grant us thy protection, peace, comfort, and the resources necessary to heal the hearts, minds, and divine spirits of those engulfed in this devastation.

Tiny Tips for Moms and Dads- Ingredient #3 What does it take and whom must you be to serve children as their teacher? As An Educator-You are charged with teaching children to “love the art of learning”.

Children are the greatest gift to humanity.

You are charged with teaching children to “love the art of learning”.

We are as educators and as parents responsible for not only the quality of education that we provided our children, but the curriculum, the environment, and the context of our philosophy of what our mission is to educate, guide and nurture our children.  Our primary tenant of our philosophy that drives our mission, modality of teaching and educating children, as well as the curriculum and environment has to be that we give them the gift of learning to “love the art of learning”.  We must be so intentional about ensuring that what we are providing them is steeped in this mission!  We want learning to be exciting, relevant, transformative, informative to expand their breath of knowledge and comprehension.  We want this process of learning to love the art of learning to be reflective in curriculum and the modalities of teaching so that the process and outcomes are in alignment with what children need in order to grow and develop and what they want to learn. 

There are those of us that are under the impression that learning only takes place when children are quiet and passive, and the curriculum is adult centered and prescribed.  I believe that when children are unengaged in terms of experiential learning modalities, and when the curriculum and environment is not child centered and driven, learning is stifled, unimpressible, and does not translate into the fabric of their life.  When children are not in a collaborative relationship with their teacher, the curriculum, and the environment in which they are expected to learn, we don’t get integrated and utilitarian content that evolves into knowledge and consequently we are nurturing them wholistically and appropriately.  We are afforded a great opportunity to support the teachers of our children and the school administration in fulfilling the core tenants of our mission and philosophy of want we want and how we want our children to be educated.  It will take everyone being on the same page and equally involved and invested, but I know we can make a difference in the lives of our children and provide an opportunity for teachers who have been ”called” to this immensely sacred profession to fulfill their “Divine Purpose” in service to children.

Breaking News!! It’s A New Day!!! January 6th, 2024- Day 86- Be Not Dismayed or Persuaded to Feel Hopeless or Helpless! “Great Spirit” is about to Set Things in “Divine Right Order”! And Everything is Gonna Be Alright!

Today is a day that “Great Spirit” has ordained for your life and soul expression.

Chat for the day: 

I Know that we are very disappointed that the election was certified and that the illusion is that these people that have a negative and abusive agenda are in power.  Nothing my friends could be farther from the truth!  We must remember who we are in light of what is transpiring on this earthly plane.  First of all, it is not in alignment with the God consciousness and is therefore not in alignment with the spiritual plane where our soul’s eternal essence and expression resides.  We are operating in another dimension that we will or have already created for ourselves and our loved ones.  We do not have to submit to this chaos and absolute derailment of the values and principles that are in place to hold our humanity and this planet together. 

This is a situation that had to come to fruition in order for this cycle of negativity and inhumanity could come to completion and implode on itself.  This lust for things such as power, greed to own everything and everybody, operating out of self-interest and an energy that is void of a relationship with “Great Spirit” and our divinity, is coming to an end and as a result, we are in the midst of birthing a new humanity that will be in alignment with a God consciousness that will bring love, peace, joy, justice, equality, compassion, and caring for one another,  as the tenants of our existence.  So don’t worry!!!! Be happy!!! Stay in your sacred space of gratitude, peace, joy, and faithfulness!  God is in charge not mankind!

The principle to live by that will support our destiny path is: I am powerful beyond what anyone can imagine.

Sunday Morning Prayers-#73- The Birthing of a New World Order that is in Alignment with the Needs of Humanity and Our Gifted Planet! Ashé!

One Divine Creator, One World, One Divine Humanity

Dearest Great Spirit,

We come to you at the beginning of a new year, knowing that you have supplied new opportunities for us to express our individual “Soul Essence”, and to come together as a collective humanity to embark on an adventure to be the “change makers” or “agents of change”, for the creation or birthing of a world.  We are challenged to create a world that will be inclusive, righteous, loving, respectful, compassionate, trustworthy and consciously working on living our lives in alignment with the desires of your will “Great Spirit”. 

“Great Spirit”, as you know we are engaged in a world that is on the brink of imploding and bringing to completion of a cycle in history that has been both positive and negative. We have been bamboozled into thinking we are powerless.  We have been carefully manipulated and hypnotized into submission so that the negative energies can implement their agenda of controlling us and the world we live in.  I know “Great Spirit” as others know that are in relationship with you that their agenda is never going to come to fruition.  With your guidance and protection, we know who we are and who are loved and cared by. 

With you we are more powerful, more spiritually grounded, more intelligent, more creative, and we have our ancestors and the angels walking thru this illusion of grandeur they have tried to create! What is done in the dark always surfaces in the light! We just have to shine our lights and let the truth rain down like the mighty Jordan! Our people have endured more than anything they can try to throw at us! We realize that we are not charged with trying to clean up this mess because we must be busy helping in the process of birthing the “new world order” that is in alignment with you “Great Spirit”. We must operate as if we are in this world but are not of this world so we can safeguard our “Divine Identity”, “Divine Purpose”, and “Divine Relationship” with thee!
