I’m Just Sayin- Notes from Beth #33- The Miracle of the Human Touch-“Great Spirit’s” Healing Element of the Human Design-

The Joy that fills my soul is the love given in the simple touch!

More and more evidence that the “Heart Language” of children is the key to our sustainability and longevity as human beings and all of creation that we impact. I can’t stress enough without perhaps boring you to death, that we must capture and protect this important element in the lives of our children.  We must remember the “Language of the Heart” and come to a realization that we too must engage and utilize this “Heart Space” to express our “Soul essence” in the world.  One of the ways in which children express this language coming from their heart, is their ability to reach out and touch in a texture that is pure, divine, and healing.  They are not restrained or inhibited in wanting to touch or hold our hand, if they have an intuitive feeling that we are safe, respectful, and loving.  They even sense when we need that “divine touch”.

As a child, one of my favorite hymns was the song, “He Touched Me”, by Bill Gaither. I was not really into the verses, but the chorus really took me to a sacred space, where I felt in direct communication with “Great Spirit”!

He touched me, Oh He touched me,

And oh, the joy that floods my soul!

Something happened and now I know,

He touched me and made me whole.

It was that sacred, divine touch that assured me that I was so loved that “Great Spirit” had touched me – the whole of me-from the top of my head to the tip of my toes.  I was love, and I was loved!  We need to make each other know that they too are worthy of love!  But first we must find the love that exist within our own soul.  We must first love ourselves not in a narcissistic way, but in a way that we value and respect ourselves as agents of love.  Children can see that in themselves even though they don’t understand the fullness of it, they just “be it”! They are able to see if love is in action within us or if it is lying dormant and covered up with pain and distrust.

Little story:

As you may or may not know, we have a brother who deals with cerebral palsy. He does not walk or talk.  He is known to everyone as Mr. B. Ua our grandchild, came to me today and announced that “Mr. B. loves him”.  I asked how he knew this, and he replied, “I know that Mr. B loves me because I touched him, and he touched my hand and winked at me.” He then presided to tell me that it is important for people to touch Mr. B. so that he knows he is loved, and he can let us know that he loves us.  The “Heart Language” of a child, breaks through all barriers that might keep us from experiencing the beauty and fullness of life.  Reach out and touch someone today! Be an agent of love and compassion.  Nurture and cultivate that in yourself and the children in your life.  It’s a magical experience.
