I can’t emphasize enough the importance of living our lives in a space of “Gratitude”! I refuse to live any other way even when the world throws unbelievable challenges in my life’s journey! I can’t position myself to sit in darkness, anger, and pain. We are all going to have to work thru these emotions as part of our human condition, but we can’t thrive or survive to live a healthy life if we fall into a pit of darkness and despair. Sometimes people go so deep into pain and a negative outlook on life that they cannot pull themselves out of it without help! It is important to recognize when we are in that position, and we need to be sensitive and observant to notice when others have fallen into that pit.
We can’t be responsible for other people’s health and welfare, but we can be concerned and resourceful in helping them seek the appropriated help. As for our ability to live our lives in and through “Gratitude”, this must be our daily practice until it becomes reattached to our soul expression that we were born with. Yes, as children we see the world so very differently than most adults. We see all the good, beautiful, and amazing things in our “world” that we engage in. Everything is a miracle as we discover sometimes the smallest little things. The discovery of a caterpillar or a garden that was muddy enough to put our hands in or walk barefooted in. Children are appreciative for the things we take for granted. Their world is full of wonder, and they have no problem showing their excitement and pleasure in the “good” things and people around them. Children look for the “Good and Happy”, things in life. I call them the “Happy Seekers”! Their outlook on life and people is centered about being happy and making others see the beauty and happiness in the world. They are sensitive to what we are feeling and thinking on an organic instinctual level. Like the lyrics to the song “Don’t Worry Be Happy”-by-Bobby McFerrin
Now there, is this song I wrote
I hope you learned note for note,
Like good little children, don’t worry, be happy. (P.S. all children are “good”!)
Now listen to what I said, in your life expect some trouble.
When you worry you make it double.
But don’t worry, be happy, be happy now.
So, in order to live in your space of “Gratitude” the following ingredients are required:
Cannot be of a judgmental nature
Cannot be of a jealous nature
Must be genuinely happy for the happiness and success of others
Acknowledge and give thanks for all the blessings in your life and in the lives of others
