Children of this world deserve so much more than we are giving them.

I know that the human condition is in chaos right now, but for us to knowingly repeat our historical pattern of being relentlessly and ruthlessly violent towards each other is absolutely insane.  We can’t possibly be so evolved in areas that are not as critical as human relationships and be clueless that all that really matters is the sustainability of the human race.  Are we so out of touch with reality, truth and justice, that we think it is ok for us to treat our body temples that house our souls, and the souls of our brothers and sisters, as being expendable and of no value?  We cannot under any circumstances continue to be who we as a global society is manifesting.  There are over 21 wars going on across the global.  We are killing each other and destroying each other’s homelands.  We are trafficking each other into human slavery-still!  We are lying to each other to the point that even with the discernment that God has endowed us with, we struggle daily to filter out what is and is not the truth.  We don’t trust each other!  We don’t like each other, and God forbid we even attempt to love each other!

The criminal behavior that is sweeping cross this planet is disdainful and obscene!  We abuse each other in our homes, families are in disarray,  and take this hatred and devaluing of human life to the schools, streets, religious institutions, government houses, and just anywhere we so desire to cause havoc and bodily harm to others.  Countries fighting countries like there is not enough for everyone!  Governments reneging on their responsibility to care for their citizenry because of indifference and greed.  People homeless and mentally, physically, and emotional ill with no safety net to support them in regaining a quality of life-which by the way is their birth right.

Parents at a loss of not knowing where to take their children and what to and not to expose them to.  They carry their hearts on alert and try to fortify their children with cell phones. Parents pray for their child’s safety every time they leave them at school not knowing what to expect. I don’t even know if children feel safe and relaxed in school anymore.  What kind of world have we given them to live in?  What are we doing to be change makers that are committed to shifting the current vibration of chaos and mayhem to a world that is full of beauty, grace, compassion, respect and peace for all of humanity?  We have to ask difficult questions and then we have to find answers for these questions that will not only sustain this planet but will sustain humanity and all the creatures that inhabit it.  I don’t want to hear about another war, another senseless act of vicious killing, or superpower destroying countries and killing innocent people in the name of greed and domination.  I don’t want to see children living out their childhood in foster care or living on the streets. We know better and we can do better.  We are better than what is manifesting throughout the world.  Our children deserve the best of who we are as individuals and as a collective.

 I have an abiding faith that the core of who we are as human beings will rise up and ignite our souls so that we remember that we are more than flesh- we are in fact a divine expression of “Great Spirit” from whom we are endowed with “goodness” and “compassion”! The prayer then is that we awaken from our amnesia and come back to ourselves and rekindle our relationship with “Great Spirit”!
