There is so much at stake today and on any day that we have the responsibility to vote for the laws, policies, and governmental representatives that will supposedly support the lives of their constituents.  It is not something we can take it leave it response to this critical civic duty.  What happens as a result of our elections, will impact and color the very fabric of our lives as individuals and as a collective society and community.  We are facing a crisis in this country and globally with the fate of our democracy on the shopping block.  Bit by bit the economic, racial, and political ideologies fed by our divisiveness has pushed us to a point of frustration, resentments, distrust of what is proclaimed by fractions of our society, and hearing and observing these so-called ideological tenements being twisted and corrupted to strip away at what we can see is not truthful or just-and told to not believe what we know is truth.  It is absolutely crazy but has been effective in sending our country into chaos. People have lost faith and trust that our governmental representatives have any ethics, morality, or any interest in the people they have sworn to protect, provide for a better quality of life, and are earnestly concerned at all about the people they serve.  We are in trouble if we don’t take what is happening in this country seriously.

We lead the world in the Number Incarcerated adults in prison per Capita

Defense spending more than 26 other countries in the world and 25 of them are our allies

I am sure these numbers fluctuate from one year to the next, but the point being is that if we want Democracy to survive in this country, there is work to be done and it starts at the “Voting Polls”. It is our birth right to have a life of freedom and equality and any country that is not built on those principles, denies their citizens the freedom to be their full potential and to live their “Divine Identity and Purpose”.  We have so much work to do!! If we are to teach and expose our children to recognizing and using their gift for discernment of “Truth”, we must let them witness us using our gift and finding the truth to all factors of the human experience.  This is now the time to “Stand Up”, “Speak Up!  Show Up at the polls! Be the safeguards of our democracy and the quality of life we want for our children! Speak truth to Justice! Your “VOTE” does count!!!
