“Plenty Good Room in My Father’s Kingdom,
And There is Room for Many A More”
Truth Be Told- Racism is a Disease that Afflicts the Soul!
Racism: Defined as-
Racism is a stance of prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
Racism is the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to inherited attributes and can be divided based on the superiority of one race over another. Wikipedia
The belief-myth, that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another.
Disease: Defined as-
A disorder of structure or function in a human, animal, or plant, especially one that has a known cause and a distinctive group of symptoms, sign, or anatomical changes.
A disease is a particular abnormal condition that negatively affects the structures of function of all or part of an organism, and that is not immediately due to any external injury.
In humans, diseases is often used more broadly to refer to any condition that causes pain, dysfunction, distress, social problems or death to the person affected, or similar problems for those in contact with the person.
Diseases can affect people not only physically, but also mentally, as contracting and living with a disease can alter the affected person’s perspective on life.
The Reflection:
When I looked up the words, racism and disease, it validated my premise that in fact “Racism” is a disease. It is a disease that is contracted by environmental exposure that contaminates the perspective of the person to the point that truth eludes them. Racism takes its toll on our ability to live in a state of compassion and joy. Yes, when a person is consumed with racism, as well as all the isms of which our society has created to divide us from one another, we really do not know what it is to be compassionate and to be loved unconditionally. We cannot truthfully be fully engaged in authentic joy. When we succumb to the infliction of racism, it attacks our soul! The damage is reversable, but it takes an awakening, acknowledgement, and a willingness to surrender hate in exchange for love. It is important for us to shield our children from having their souls tainted by the ravenous disease of racism. They-we- are not born with a heart that is designed to perpetrate hate and distain for another human being. In fact, the divine design of our souls is specifically created to express the highest vibration that we in our humanity, can give and receive. We have to do some serious soul searching to find out what we have allowed our souls to take in on this life’s journey. We have to ask ourselves questions that might rock the earth beneath our feet. We need to be open and honest with ourselves when we truthfully examine the condition of our soul in respect to how we are perceiving and treating our fellow man.
Our humanity has been stained and tainted by this wretched disease that has held so many of us hostage so that we are not able to live in the fullness of what God-Great Spirit has blessed us with. The hate, the anger, the fear, the pain body that has had to hold the disease of racism for both the giver and receiver, depletes us of precious time and experiences that we cannot recapture. It is only when we ourselves cleanse ourselves of this disease, that we can retrieve the beauty of our soul expression and dwell in a space of love, peace, and joy. Our world can no longer sustain itself in its present condition of hate and distain for one another. We have to rid our planet of this disease that has plagued us from the beginning of time. There really is no benefit for us to have to feel better about ourselves in relationship to our fellow brothers and sisters. There is no reason for us to have to think we must have power over other human beings. There is plenty of everything for us to share and take care of each other. Until we evolve to this understanding, we will never realize the true identity that “Great Spirit” endowed us with. We are, each of us, enough! We have been blessed with all that we need and there are opportunities that we have been called to that will allow us to care for each other. Sharing our wealth of Agape love, compassion, understanding, and ability to give the best of who we are- this is what will change the vibration of the planet and spin it into a place of balance, sustainability, and grounding. We can do this! We must do this! Actually, we have no choice!
