Tiny Tips for Moms and Dads #50 Every Child Sees and Responds to the World Through Their Own Lens- Cognitively, Physically, Emotionally, and Spiritually!

It is amazing!  I mean it is really amazing, to watch children, explore their world and learn.
They are using all elements of who they are, to discover the wonders of the world.

We are so privileged to be able to witness our children learning, because we know that they learn through play and that they learn using their senses.  They are sensorial learners, and we have to allow them the time and space to engage in their world not with just pre-designed materials and toys, but with raw elements that we infuse into their environment or take them to places where they can explore through nature the knowledge that is authentic and organic.  This enables them to connect the dots and use all of who they are-cognition, emotions, physicality, and spirituality, to make sense of the vast universal truths-known and unknown!

The lens of a child is so very different form that of an adult!  They see things void of a complicated, “already listening mindset”, children see things and interpret things in a natural, raw, and inhibited perspective.  They see and understand things for what they are.  That’s their gift. They approach everything in the manner that is appropriate for what they are seeing and looking for.  They are open and receptive to receiving information and experiencing the wonderment of knowledge as a gift. They are not stuck using just their cognition to ascertain and integrate what they discover and understand.  On top of that they figure out how to apply what they have learned to all aspects of their life.

The Lesson- We as parents have to be cognizant of how and what we are teaching and exposing our children to that will fill not only their minds and their souls.  We have to nurture their imagination and desire to explore and learn.  We have to show our excitement in their quest for learning and the wonderful things they discover and learn! It is not a bad idea for our children to see us learning new things and expanding our knowledge base too!
