I can’t begin to express how I am feeling listening to the reporting of our latest war in Israel and Palestine.   How do we explain to them that there are people in the world that hate each other? How do we explain to our children that yes, there is enough of everything to support everybody’s life, but that people do not want to share, and at the same time tell them that we want them to be loving and sharing.  So many mixed messages.  This situation is so frustrating and confusing for us as parents, extended family, teachers, and care givers.  It is painful!  I feel so hopeless in trying to figure out what to say to them.  They hear the news even when we try to shelter them from the horrific pictures of what war looks like.  And what about the children around the world that are engulfed in the terror of the ongoing bombardment of weaponry and the ruins they are left with to sustain their lives. 

What will become of them, when their parents, siblings, and other family members fall victim to injury and death?  What will be their saving grace?  How will they not only survive from this curse of war, but will they ever have hope of being whole and healed from the battle wounds that were inflicted upon them? I can’t imagine what happens from here.  Temporary truces to do what, start killing each other again.  There are 22 wars battling across this planet simultaneously.  I know that there is supposed to be nothing new under the sun, but this mayhem is destroying our world and our humanity.  Children are suffering at the hands of adults who still have not evolve enough to be able to settle their differences and needs without violence.  Do we realistically expect these children who have had this experience to not grow up filled with loss and hatred.  We are creating the perpetuation of this curse of war!  The gift of peace has slipped through our fingers.  

This does not make one bit of sense.  I can’t for a moment think about how “Great Spirit” is dealing with our inability to preserve our humanity.  I am going into deep, deep, deep, prayer over this because I have no answers, and I have to figure out something to contribute.  Please join me in envisioning a world of love, compassion, and peace!  If we all rise to that vibration in solidarity, I know that it will have an impact.  We have no choice! Speak Peace! Speak Love! Speak Compassion! Speak from a place of gratitude knowing that if we see more than ourselves, there is no vibration of lack and limitation.  See this in your prayers!  See this in your dreams! Talk the talk and walk the walk!  Those of us with a heart space for children, have the power to make this the world we want them to inherit!
