In my faith community “Advent” is the season before Christmas when Christian communities remember and celebrate the arrival of Jesus on Earth. It is a time of expectation and preparation. In my personal faith journey this time allows me to reset my life for the new year to come. I have a chance to feel the joy and love that this season affords me to strengthen my belief that there is still something wonderful and beautiful in our life that must be acknowledged and savored. This time makes room for hope and faith that we can still expect a relationship with “Great Spirit” that fills all the voids and walks through all of our challenges that the world might throw at us. So, in this “Advent Season”, this is my prayer-
Dear “Great Spirit”,
Lead us guide us through this “Advent” to recognize that you are always in the season of “Advent” as well as every season of our life. You are the reason for this season when we have a chance to be grateful for the blessings in our lives. You are the purpose for every season of our life, and with that abiding love, faith, hope and joy, these eternal elements of our relationship with you, teaches us how we should be in relationship with each other. This “Advent” “Great Spirit” we pray for the forth coming of peace in this world you graced us with. We look with anticipation for the coming of your Presence in our world and in our hearts. Hear our prayers “Great Spirit”! Hear our prayers and comfort us with your love and grace. Please take extra care of those that are engulfed in challenges and circumstances that are causing them pain, hunger,
Ashe! Ashe! Ashe! Amen!
Happiest of Holidays from our family to yours!
Thanks so much for allowing me to share my prayers with you!
I hope my intention to bring you joy, peace, compassion, and love was received and made a difference in your life.
