and working to get our Democratic candidates in office!
We have reached the point of no return! No return to business as usual! No return to the status quo of being quiet and not expressing our disappointment and disgust in how our country has lowered its civility, its ability to be truthful and honest, its self-respect and allowance to let criminal behavior be the benchmark of what we consider appropriate to run and be in governmental office. The time has come for us to speak out about what our expectations are for the standards and qualities of those we want in political positions of power.
It is time for us to seriously and intentionally teach our children about the principles and practices of our Constitution. We need to teach our children and re-educate our citizens to the understanding that our Constitution is a living document that has to be revitalized periodically to respond to the situations and concerns of our citizenry when life presents events that were not yet in the minds of those who originally constructed the Constitution. It must evolve as we evolve but it must always be based in justice, wisdom, and discernment. We must have a country that is united in the principles that govern our existence as citizens.
We do not have to agree on everything that is presented to us, but we have the right share our opinions in a civil and cooperative manner so that we exhibit that the core of who we are as a nation, is “one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all”! Don’t get nervous about the word God but think about that the nature of our country should be in alignment with all that represents, peace, love, compassion, and justice for all- For me to be inclusive and respectful to all of humanity I relate to “Great Spirit”- I feel confident that our candidates are running this race hand in hand with “Great Spirit”.
