Mama said that there would be days like this,

When the “Buzz” around you tries to confound you!

Tries to defeat you and mislead you,

frustrate, and deplete you,

Thwart your plans for victory,

Not having a clue who you be!

Let them try to hit us with lies and confusion,

Nothing can keep us from our goal,

We are here as winners,

Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers,

Keeping our eye on the collective prize.

Never no, never no, never again,

Will history tell a story of defeat,

Or a mirage of human pain.

We have everything to gain,

And we will sustain, our freedom, our democracy our humanity,

Void of another sacrifice because we remain,

True to our country, Red, Brown White, Yellow, and Black,

And that is something they can never roll back!
