Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility)
A Collective is a group of entities or people that share or are motivated by at least one common issue or interest.
Work is an activity or activities involving mental and or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result.
Responsibility is the state or fact of being responsible, answerable, or accountable for something within one’s power, control, or management.
Where are we in our own lives that is impacting our ability to step out of our own comfort zone and self-interest? What is it that distracts us from realizing that we as members of humanity must begin to step up and step forward and take responsibility for the quality of life we are or are not experiencing. There are perhaps many things we can do as individuals to make a difference in this world that is struggling for peace, justice, love, and compassion, but as a collective entity we are capable of shifting the tides and waves of what looks like chaos and demise and turn the storm into a tranquil and meaningful co-existence for all humanity.
This is the time when the “Collective” can make the most enormous positive influence on the conditions of our world. We just need to become more awake and cognizant in our lives. We need to be more discerning and intuitive about how we respond to elements that are not elevating the operational vibration of our planet and our humanity. We cannot succumb to complacency and apathy! We must have an energy of righteous indignation and approach our intentions to bring light and love to our families and our world, with vigor and commitment.
