This morning, I have come to a place where I am refusing to buy into the playbook of those that are causing chaos, confusion, and now with the dismantling of our governmental programs such as USAID, we are going to be seen by the world as the country of wealth and power that sentenced children and sick people’s death.  We have allowed our voices to sit in silence while these political self-appointed and fraudulently positioned henchman turn our country into a mockery.  We have lost our credibility and have succumb to the tyranny of those that are feeding their lust for power and wealth. 

They have shown their hand, and their agenda is not ethical, just, or compassionate.  I can hear my grandmother saying in her Jamaican accent, that “this too shall pass”, but the destruction and thievery that is happening in the meantime, will set our spiritual evolution back further than I can imagine.  It is a time for us to take stock of where we are and envision where we need and want to be as a nation.  We have a gift if we take advantage of it, to renew our patriotism, our participation in the civic arena to safeguard the principles of our Constitution, re-institute all the departments and programs that support our way of life with the intention of enhancing and institutionalizing these entities so that they are not destroyed or manipulated by whoever takes up residence in the White House. 

We are members of the “Global Society”, and what we do and what we mouth affects and impacts everyone.  It is the “six degrees of separation rule”, we are interconnected and interdependent on one another.  So, we need our own agenda, and we need to formulate our own blueprint for what we will manifest and actualize as our vision of the Democracy that we ascribe to and have an intention of mandating.  Our democracy is no longer an experiment that can be bought or manipulated.  We have a responsibility to “Stand Up”, Speak Up”, and “Show Up” to secure our way of life.  We are witnessing a “Wake Up Call”!  The question is, “will we answer the “Call”?  We do not have a choice!

Just remember, as my ancestors sang in their quest for freedom,-

I hear them sing – “

Leaning on the Lord,

Trusting in His holy Word,

These songs are the genius that brought my people out of bondage into freedom.  I stand on these promises realizing that if I do my part, “Great Spirit” will take the wheel!
