Today we are being called to energize our ability to be kind to one another.  This world is so void of simple acts of kindness and it is depleting the fabric and texture of our humanity.  What comes to mind for me is my physical and spiritual response of things that I read on social media and what I encounter when I venture out into the world.  I miss the customs that I grew up with in my community where people greeted each other with kind and respectful salutations even when they did not know each other.  We were taught that if you did not have something “kind” to say to someone, it was better to not say anything at all.  It seems so doable, maybe not always simplistic, to find words that express kindness and do things that show kindness but it something we need to be intentional about now. 

The world is in need of kindness and genuine concern because we are living in a cold and heartless world.  This is not to say that there are not genuinely kind and compassionate people in our troubled world, it just means that we have to step into our higher selves and be the kindness we want to experience in the world. If each of us commit to sharing our intention of being kind and considerate of others, it will help in raising the consciousness of others.  We are in a time in our evolution that how we attend to our spiritual essence will impact who we are and our potential of sustaining a functional humanity.  So, my friends, “let’s try a little tenderness” cause kindness goes a long way.  I thought it would be interesting since the blogs are translated into 27 other languages to highlight the word “kindness” in each of the languages.  Finding the word kindness in other languages validated my intuition that there is a word for “kindness” embedded in all of our cultures.
