The longer I live, the more I try to be intentional about learning.  I feel like this word that is haunting me for the last two days is popping up to be talked about in all areas of my life.  This picture from this event speaks volumes of what is the counterbalance to his lack of decorum and maturity.  Everyone there showed deep respect and appreciation for the lives that were lost and are still suffering from the devastation of “911”.  Her opponent talks about the terrible state of affairs this country is in.  He refers to it as “declining”, “the worst state it has ever been”!  He makes us feel like those of us that are deeply embedded and entrenched in the principles of our Democracy, are totally responsible for mess our country is in. 

The truth is what has declined in this country is not the economics that will always be in a state fluidity.  It is not our overbearing social- health resources or lack thereof because of political stalemates from uncompromising greed driven partisan politicians and judges.  This is about what we see in this picture.  There is a decline in our moral standards, ethics, obeying and respecting our laws, and making sure that all citizens are respected and at the same time being held accountable for their actions and words.  We no longer have civil and respectful dialog with one another. Our judicial system has become a political tool to implement rules that are do represent the will of the people but instead are influenced by wealth and political agendas.   Yes, this election is our opportunity to reinstate the principles and values that are founded in our Constitution.  This election is an opportunity to create a country that has appropriate priorities to meet the needs, dreams, and aspirations of its citizenry.  We cannot have economic stability, human rights, functional educational systems, health, housing, employment that sustains individuals and families, food resources, or a quality level of living that reflects the standards that all human beings are entitled to as a birthright and be morally bankrupt! 

We have to as Vice President Kamala Harris has said, “Turn the page”!!!!
