I am taking a brief respite from blogging so that I can process the loss of my beloved brother Lloyd- know to everyone as Mr. B. I am the eldest of the 5 children in our family tribe and I guess I have always felt like the guardian – protector of my siblings. That does not change with age or circumstances, it just is. Lloyd’s life has been a blessing to everyone he has engaged with. I have written about him in both my books and through the years, his life’s journey has always ended up being part of my lecture in my Early Childhood and Parenting courses. The tenacity of his life and his challenges with Cerebral Palsy, provided a gift to his family, friends, and strangers. His intellect and ability to communicate without words, was a testimony to the expansion and divinity of his soul. To know Lloyd, was to love Lloyd!
His drive and spirit to want to live life to the fullest gave him the determination to dream the vision of having his own gift shop and with the genius and creativity of his mom, he owned and operated Mr. B’s Box-Card and Gift Store for 45 years. Lloyd was so committed to his political beliefs and was a down hard Democrat. He voted in every election from the age of 18 to 75! And yes, he voted for Kamala Harris and was convinced that the election was fraudulent! He was not a happy camper. Lloyd has traveled the world visiting places like China, Russia, Jamaica, Hawaii, and all across the United States. Lloyd never let any opportunity to experience something new in life, pass him by. Where ever we went, Lloyd went. It was not only a blessing to have him in our lives, but his presence in our lives also enhanced the quality of our lives and made us the individuals and family we are today.
I will share more about his amazing life in days to come. Now I will take my deep breath and stand in peace and joy with him knowing all is well with his soul.

Rest in peace and blessings, Mr.B!🙏🏾
