Kujichagulia -(Self-Determination)
Definitions of Self-Determination:
The concept of self-determination refers to the development of skills, attitudes, and beliefs that enable individuals to exercise control over their own lives.
Self-determination is a combination of attitudes and abilities that lead people to set goals for themselves, and to take the initiative to reach these goals.
This is perhaps one of the most important principles to endow our children with. It is the principle that on which they will need to infuse into the foundation of their vibrational energy. It is the driving force that propels the essence of their soul expression, their divine identity, and their divine purpose. It fuels the energetic forces that support the fruition of their existence. This field of energy of being self-determined, self-motivated, self-directed, impacts the overall experience of our life’s journey. When we come from this place of being able to self-direct and self-determine our vision for our life, we are empowered with limitless possibilities and boundless adventures. The beauty and majesty of life unfolds for us with experiences, feelings, perspectives, and enlightenment that is beyond our human imagination, because it was created for us by “Great Spirit”.
It is not easy in this world to claim or for some of re-claim our power to be self-determined and fearless on this life’s journey, but the materials and fabric of our soul essence contains everything we need to manifest the life that was intended and designed for us. We must be steadfast in our commitment to seek truth, seek the mysteries of life that are in the scope of our divine purpose. It is with the fulfillment of the process of self-determination and self-awareness that we come face to face with “Great Spirit” and are able to walk with “Source”, talk with “Source”, and come into the fulness of who we are. No fear! No hesitation! No insecurities! No doubt, only knowingness of pure agape love that weaves the beautiful, graceful fabric of our lives. “To thy self be true”!
This is so true!
Thank you for sharing this as a reminder of what we need to do to make progress in our lives and the lives of our children!
